Dual-Frequency dual-polarised microstrip antenna fed by an inclined slot

open access: yes, 2012
[[abstract]]This paper presents the design of a single-feed microstrip antenna with dual-frequency and dual-polarization operations. Two fundamental modes, TM01 and TM10, are excited in a single long rectangular patch through an inclined slot to achieve ...

Tailoring Li‐ion Storage and Transport in Two‐Dimensional Conjugated Metal‐Organic Frameworks via Precise Nitrogen Incorporation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Two nitrogen‐doped 2D conjugated metal‐organic frameworks (2D c‐MOFs, namely Cu‐Nx‐OHBA, x = 2 or 4) are synthesized, featuring precise nitrogen incorporation via rational ligand design. The Cu‐Nx‐OHBA 2D c‐MOFs are largely tailorable by varying skeletal nitrogen density, with respect to electrical conductivity, Li‐storage capacitance, and Li‐transport

Design of a single-feed dual-frequency microstrip antenna

open access: yes, 2012
[[abstract]]This paper presents a new dual-frequency design for microstrip patch antennas. The proposed dual-frequency antenna is excited by a single probe feed, and the feed position is on the rectangular patch that is surrounded by a square-ring patch.

A Bilayered Inorganic‐Metal Interface Enables Highly Reversible Aluminum Deposition for Long‐Life Aqueous Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A gradient M/MOx (M = Sn, Cu, Cd) synergistic interphase was constructed on Al via a one‐step displacement reaction. This interphase leverages high aluminophilicity and ion‐buffering capability to accelerate desolvation, enhance Al3+ transport, and suppress side reactions, enabling ultrastable symmetric cell operation at 0.05 mA cm−2 for 1800 h with an

Dual-band circularly polarized stacked sapphire and TMM13i rectangular DRA

open access: yes, 2020
This paper documents a novel design of dual-band dielectric resonator antenna exhibiting circular polarization at a high-frequency band of (7.85 GHz–7.93 GHz) in addition to linearly polarized lower frequency band of (5.12 GHz–5.49 GHz) using new ...

Unraveling the Electronic Structure of Silicon Vacancy Centers in 4H‐SiC

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The electronic structure of the silicon vacancy in 4H‐SiC is probed via transient absorption spectroscopy, uncovering previously inaccessible excited states of the quartet and doublet spin channels, including the V2' transition. In combination with theoretical analysis, a comprehensive picture of the electronic structure is established.

Design of Dual-Polarized All-Dielectric Transmitarray Antenna for Ka-Band Applications

open access: yesApplied Sciences
This paper proposes two all-dielectric transmitarrays operating at Ka-band (26.5–40 GHz), achieving dual-polarization and beam-scanning functionalities. The dual-polarized design employs a cross-shaped dielectric post transmission unit, where the lengths

Tunable Dual-Wavelength Fiber Laser Based on a Polarization-Maintaining Fiber Bragg Grating and a Hi-Bi Fiber Optical Loop Mirror¹ [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We demonstrate experimentally the operation of a linear cavity dual-wavelength fiber laser using a polarization maintaining fiber Bragg grating (PM-FBG) as an end mirror that defines two closely spaced laser emission lines.

Glissile Interphase Boundaries Enable Collective Phase Switching in Epitaxial Polar Oxides

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A triple point is identified in the phase diagram of low‐symmetry epitaxial BiFeO3 thin film along with an extended regime of phase competition associated with a flattened energy landscape. The electromechanical response is shown to be governed by correlated interphase‐boundary motion, including scale‐free avalanche dynamics characteristic of systems ...
