On the convergence of the dual reciprocity boundary element method

Engineering Analysis with Boundary Elements, 1994
Abstract This paper presents a study of the convergence properties of the dual reciprocity method (DRM). DRM is one of the most popular techniques used to transform volume integrals that arise, for example, from the inhomogeneous term of Poisson's equation, into equivalent boundary integrals in the boundary element method (BEM). The transformation is

On the boundary element dual reciprocity method

Engineering Analysis with Boundary Elements, 1997
In this paper, the boundary element dual reciprocity method (BEDRM) is introduced for the solution of a class of boundary value problems. Convergence analysis of the BEDRM is carried out for Poisson's equation with Dirichlet boundary condition, using some important results on radial basis function approximation.

Axisymmetric polyharmonic spline approximation in the dual reciprocity method

ZAMM - Journal of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics / Zeitschrift für Angewandte Mathematik und Mechanik, 2021
AbstractThe paper is devoted to developing the dual reciprocity boundary element method for axisymmetric problems based on usage of axisymmetric polyharmonic splines. The axisymmetric polyharmonic spline is introduced as a linear combination of polyharmonic radial basic functions and polynomial terms.

A DUAL RECIPROCITY METHOD FOR THE ANALYSIS OF ADHESIVELY PATCHED SHEETS

Communications in Numerical Methods in Engineering, 1997
Summary: A dual reciprocity method (DRM) for the analysis of problems involving thin patches adhesively bonded to a thin sheet is presented. Displacement compatibility between the sheet and patches is enforced. The attachment forces are modelled as body forces acting in subdomains within the sheet and patch domains.
