The Dual Density Riser Solution

Proceedings of SPE/IADC Drilling Conference, 1997
Abstract The objectives of this project are to determine the advantages, disadvantages, technical feasibility and economic feasibility of the use of gas lift in a marine riser to maintain the pressure in a subsea wellhead equal to the hydrostatic pressure of the seawater outside of the wellhead. Such a dual density system for drilling in

Dual solutions in mixed convection

Proceedings of the Royal Society of Edinburgh: Section A Mathematics, 1981
SynopsisDual similarity solutions in the context of mixed convection are presented. In contrast to the Falkner–Skan solutions the bifurcation point is found to be distinct from the point of vanishing skin friction. The eigenvalue problem arising out of a stability analysis of these solutions is examined numerically. The numerical evidence would seem to

Dual-Porosity Dual-Permeability Poroelastodynamics Analytical Solutions for Mandel’s Problem

Journal of Applied Mechanics, 2020
AbstractAnalytical solutions to the classical Mandel’s problem play an important role in understanding Biot’s theory of poroelasticity and validating geomechanics numerical algorithms. In this paper, existing quasi-static poroelastic solutions to this problem are extended to the dual-porosity dual-permeability poroelastodynamics solution which ...

Dual Solution Paradigm

2019
This Unity3d program runs a version of the Dual Solution Paradigm (developed by Marchette, Bakker, and Shelton, 2011). This program is only compatible with Windows machines with game graphics cards (such as the GTX1070). For details of this version of the task, please refer to Boone, Maghen, and Hegarty (2019).

General self-dual Yang-Mills solutions

Physical Review D, 1978
The recent work of Atiyah, Hitchin, Drinfeld, and Manin is used to discuss self-dual Yang-Mills solutions for the compact gauge groups $O(n)$, $\mathrm{SU}(n)$, and $\mathrm{Sp}(n)$. It is shown that the resulting solutions contain the correct number of parameters for all values of the topological charge.
