Computing Dual Time-scale Dynamic User Equilibria
2010In this paper we summarize a dual-time scale formulation of dynamic user equilibrium with demand growth due to Friesz et al (2008). This formulation belongs to the problem class that Pang and Stewart (2008) refer to as di§erential variational inequalities.

This paper presents a microprocessor-controlled apparatus for the measurement of fast fluorescence waveforms. This apparatus features a dual-time scale for the analysis of multiexponential decays. A sampling oscilloscope is used as the sampling device. The sampling time is externally controlled by means of a staircase reference voltage.

A dual speed scheme for dynamic voltage scaling on real-time multiprocessor systems
The Journal of Supercomputing, 2014This paper proposes an off-line dynamic voltage scaling (DVS) scheme that can be integrated with EDF$$^{(k)}$$(k), which is a global real-time scheduling algorithm for symmetric multiprocessor systems. The scheme computes the static execution speed for each individual task assuming the task's worst-case execution.

Dual Time Scales in a Wave Problem Governed by Coupled Nonlinear Equations
SIAM Review, 1981The method of multiple time scales is used to obtain a uniformly valid perturbation solution for initial value problems (periodic or isolated initial disturbance) arising in shallow water motion or in compressible gas flow. The results are used to modify the original equations so as to lead to a particularly convenient problem formulation.
