Structured Nuclear Norm Matrix Completion: Guaranteeing Exact Recovery via Block‐Column Scaling
ABSTRACT The goal of low‐rank matrix completion is to minimize the rank of a matrix while adhering to the constraint that known (non‐missing) elements are fixed in the approximation. Minimizing rank is a difficult, non‐convex, NP‐hard problem, often addressed by substituting rank with the nuclear norm to achieve a convex relaxation.

Road traffic estimation and algorithmic routing in a spatially dependent network
ABSTRACT This work concerns a procedure to estimate the joint distribution of the per‐edge travel times in a road traffic network with spatial dependence. The constructed estimator, based on the realized travel times of a collection of independently operating probe vehicles traversing the network, is shown to be consistent and rate‐optimal.

Spectral convergence in large finite resonator arrays: The essential spectrum and band structure
Abstract We show that the resonant frequencies of a system of coupled resonators in a truncated periodic lattice converge to the essential spectrum of the corresponding infinite lattice. We use the capacitance matrix as a model for fully coupled subwavelength resonators with long‐range interactions in three spatial dimensions.

Device‐Independent Dimension Leakage Null Test on Qubits at Low Operational Cost
Testing the two‐level space of a qubit is critical for the future of quantum computation. A simple setup allows to verify the space by a device independent null witness at extreme precision. Applied to IBM Quantum, most qubits fail the test by more than ten standard deviations, which cannot be explained by a standard model of leakage.
