Canonical Duality Theory for Solving Non-monotone Variational Inequality Problems
This paper presents a canonical dual approach for solving a class of non-monotone variational inequality problems. It shows that by using the canonical dual transformation, these challenging problems can be reformulated as a canonical dual problem, which

Rapid screening of staphylokinase protein variants using an unpurified cell‐free expression system
An unpurified cell‐free protein synthesis (CFPS) platform enables rapid functional screening of staphylokinase variants. Direct plasminogen‐activation assays performed in microplate format provide real‐time activity readouts, allowing rapid identification and ranking of variants with improved or reduced fibrinolytic activity without protein ...

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

This research examines the empirical properties of duality theory. A comparison of the Hessian matrices calculated from the normalized unrestricted and restricted profit, and production functions indicate that duality is highly sensitive to measurement ...

Aspects of gauge/string theory duality: BMN correspondence and MHV rules [PDF]
One of the most striking examples of duality correspondence between gauge theories and string theories is the AdS/CFT duality. It relates the type IIB superstring theory on AdS5 x 5 5 to 4-dimensional N = 4 Yangs Mills in its superconformal phase ...

Mass spectrometry based identification of AMP‐O‐Tris generated by Thermococcus onnurineus Cas10
Isolated Thermococcus onnurineus Cas10 generates the noncanonical ATP‐derived product AMP‐O‐Tris while in Tris‐containing buffer as identified via mass spectrometry, revealing relaxed nucleophile selectivity under isolated conditions. These findings suggest that multiprotein Csm complex assembly restricts Cas10 reactivity toward canonical cyclic ...

The Benefit Function Approach to Modeling Price-Dependent Demand Systems: An Application of Duality Theory [PDF]
In this article we advocate more extensive use of the benefit function in specifying price-dependent or inverse demand models. In particular, we demonstrate how duality theory may be used to establish the inter-relationships between the Marshallian (or ...

This paper reveals how human lactoferrin–albumin fusion (hLF‐HSA) potently suppresses lung adenocarcinoma cell migration. hLF‐HSA upregulates NHE7, leading to Golgi alkalization, disruption of the Golgi secretome, downregulation of MMP1, and reversal of EMT. These findings suggest a novel Golgi‐targeting strategy to suppress cancer cell migration.

The ade4 Package: Implementing the Duality Diagram for Ecologists
Multivariate analyses are well known and widely used to identify and understand structures of ecological communities. The ade4 package for the R statistical environment proposes a great number of multivariate methods.
