Nondifferentiable generalized minimax fractional programming under (Ф,ρ)-invexity [PDF]
In this paper, a class of nonconvex nondifferentiable generalized minimax fractional programming problems is considered. Sufficient optimality conditions for the considered nondifferentiable generalized minimax fractional programming problem are ...

Sufficiency and duality of set-valued fractional programming problems via second-order contingent epiderivative [PDF]
In this paper, we establish second-order sufficient KKT optimality conditions of a set-valued fractional programming problem under second-order generalized cone convexity assumptions.

Toric duality is Seiberg duality [PDF]
We study four N=1 SU(N)^6 gauge theories, with bi-fundamental chiral matter and a superpotential. In the infrared, these gauge theories all realize the low-energy world-volume description of N coincident D3-branes transverse to the complex cone over a del Pezzo surface dP_3 which is the blowup of P^2 at three generic points.

Optimized homomorphic encryption solution for secure genome-wide association studies
Background Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS) refer to observational studies of a genome-wide set of genetic variants across many individuals to see if any genetic variants are associated with a certain trait.

Polyhedral complementarity problem with quasimonotone decreasing mappings [PDF]
The fixed point problem of piecewise constant mappings in Rn is investigated. This is a polyhedral complementarity problem, which is a generalization of the linear complementarity problem.

We establish a correspondence between toroidal compactifications of M-theory and del Pezzo surfaces. M-theory on T^k corresponds to P^2 blown up at k generic points; Type IIB corresponds to P^1\times P^1. The moduli of compactifications of M-theory on rectangular tori are mapped to Kahler moduli of del Pezzo surfaces. The U-duality group of M-theory ...

AbstractWe advocate an account of dualities between physical theories: the basic idea is that dual theories are isomorphic representations of a common core. We defend and illustrate this account, which we call a Schema, in relation to symmetries. Overall, the account meshes well with standard treatments of symmetries.
