Dualities of 5d gauge theories from S-duality [PDF]
Abstract We describe a general method to determine dualities between supersymmetric 5d gauge theories. The method is based on performing local S-dualities in the geometry associated to the gauge theory. We find that often a duality can be obtained by adding matter to both sides of a more primitive duality.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Gapless foliated-exotic duality
In this work, we construct a new foliated quantum field theory equivalent to the exotic ϕ-theory — a fractonic gapless scalar field theory described by tensor gauge fields and exhibiting U(1) × U(1) subsystem global symmetry.

Mechanisms of IgE‐mediated food allergy and the role of allergen‐specific B cells
Food allergy arises when allergen‐specific B cells preferentially produce immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies against harmless foods. This article explains the mechanisms driving IgE‐mediated reactions, highlights the central role of these B cells, and discusses how natural tolerance (NT) and oral immunotherapy (OIT) can reshape allergic immune responses.

Perturbative F-theory 10-brane and M-theory 5-brane
The exceptional symmetry is realized perturbatively in F-theory which is the manifest U-duality theory. The SO(5) U-duality symmetry acts on both the 16 space-time coordinates and the 10 worldvolume coordinates.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

On the classification of duality defects in c = 2 compact boson CFTs with a discrete group orbifold
We propose a novel approach to exploring duality defects in the c = 2 compact boson conformal field theory (CFT). This study is motivated by the desire to classify categorical symmetries, particularly duality defects, in CFTs.

Note about canonical description of T-duality along light-like isometry
In this short note we analyze canonical description of T-duality along light-like isometry. We show that T-duality of relativistic string theory on this background leads to non-relativistic string theory action on T-dual background.
