Neurodivergent Patients in Forensic Mental Health Wards: Practice Pointers From a Scoping Study

open access: yesKōtuitui: New Zealand Journal of Social Sciences Online, Volume 21, Issue 1, March 2026.
This scoping study aims to identify patient‐centered care recommendations for neurodivergent forensic mental health in‐patients. The offending neurodivergent population is currently understudied and over‐represented in forensic mental health services. This is causing individuals to receive inadequate care and increasing staff harm.

Amplitude–frequency relationship to a fractional Duffing oscillator arising in microphysics and tsunami motion

open access: yesJournal of Low Frequency Noise, Vibration and Active Control, 2019
Fractional oscillators can effectively deal with noise in the vibration. This paper adopts He’s fractional derivative, which is defined through the variational iteration algorithm.

Narrative‐Style Transcription: Optimizing Inference of Dialogic Discourse

open access: yesTESOL Quarterly, Volume 60, Issue 1, Page 406-416, March 2026.
Abstract In qualitative research, transcription is a significant stage of the data collection process often employed as a method of language data analysis. In this account, however, I underscore the interpretive dimension of transcription in the context of classroom practitioner research, and the decision‐making entailed in this approach. To illustrate

Numerical Solutions for Nonlinear Ordinary and Fractional Duffing Equations Using Combined Fibonacci–Lucas Polynomials

open access: yesAxioms
Two nonlinear Duffing equations are numerically treated in this article. The nonlinear fractional-order Duffing equations and the second-order nonlinear Duffing equations are handled.

Phosphate Resupply Differentially Impacts the Shoot and Root Proteomes of Arabidopsis thaliana Seedlings

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, Volume 49, Issue 3, Page 1598-1616, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Phosphate (Pi) is an essential macronutrient for plant development that is often limited in soil. Plants have evolved dynamic biochemical, physiological and morphological adaptations to cope with Pi deficiency, known as the Pi starvation response (PSR).

Strictly Positive Solutions of Neumann Boundary Value Problems and Applications to Duffing Type Models

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, Volume 49, Issue 3, Page 1943-1956, February 2026.
ABSTRACT The existence of one or two strictly positive solutions of Neumann boundary value problems is studied in this paper where the nonlinearities are L1$$ {L}^1 $$‐Carathéodory functions, so they are not necessarily continuous. Additional weaker and better conditions than those used in previous results are posted on the nonlinearities to obtain ...

Adipose‐Specific GHR Deletion Attenuates Brain Aging and Cognitive Decline in Aged Mice

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 2, February 2026.
Adipose GHR deletion counteracts brain aging and cognitive decline in aged mice. This identifies adipose GH signaling as a peripheral regulator of neuroprotection and cognition. ABSTRACT Brain aging is marked by neuronal loss, synaptic deterioration, neuroinflammation, and proteinopathies, all of which contribute to cognitive decline. Although systemic

Antiperiodic Solutions for a Kind of Nonlinear Duffing Equations with a Deviating Argument and Time-Varying Delay

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, 2014
This paper deals with a kind of nonlinear Duffing equation with a deviating argument and time-varying delay. By using differential inequality techniques, some very verifiable criteria on the existence and exponential stability of antiperiodic solutions ...

Detecting mass mortality events in wildlife populations

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 40, Issue 1, February 2026.
Abstract Reports in the literature of mass mortality events (MMEs) involving diverse animal taxa are increasing. Yet, many likely go unobserved due to imperfect detection and infrequent sampling. MMEs involving small, cryptic species, for instance, can be difficult to detect even during the event, and degradation and scavenging of carcasses can make ...

Astrocyte Regulation of Spinal Circuit Function

open access: yesJournal of Neurochemistry, Volume 170, Issue 2, February 2026.
Spinal cord astrocytes exist as an additional component of the computational framework that governs both sensory perceptions and motor outputs (left). By integrating local synaptic activity together with signals that reflect whole‐body state (e.g., neuromodulators, immune signals, and vascular signals) into defined input states (Sn), astrocytes adapt ...
