Temperature Predicts Relative Mass but Not Size in Passerines
ABSTRACT Aim Predictable relationships between temperature and animal size and shape are the basis for classic rules in macroecology. Body size is thought to covary negatively with temperature (Bergmann's Rule), broadly attributed to thermoregulatory demand for larger size in colder climates. However, ecophysiological principles suggest that changes in

Understanding Ancient Moose Populations in the Southern Rocky Mountains
ABSTRACT Moose (Alces alces) are an iconic symbol of contemporary Rocky Mountain ecosystems, and their growing abundance in Colorado and other portions of the Southern Rockies has inspired debate around their regional prehistory prior to their 20th century translocation. The Early Holocene biogeography of moose in North America is poorly characterised,

Niche Dynamics Under Current and Future Climates of South African Plants in France
ABSTRACT Aim While climatic niche dynamics of invasive plants have been increasingly studied worldwide, comparative assessments disentangling niche conservatism from expansion into analogue and non‐analogue climates remain very limited in France. Here, the climatic niche dynamics of four South African plant species established in France were quantified,

Characterization of Bimodal Particle Size Distribution of Ground Coffee Powder
A combined modeling approach was established for bimodal PSD of coffee grounds, and their fitting performance was assessed. The PSD characteristics were well established by the LW, WB, and GW combination models. PSD model parameters can guide future data‐based coffee extraction modeling.
