Duodenal atresia and stenosis are classified into intrinsic and extrinsic obstruction. Intrinsic obstruction includes congenital duodenal atresia and stenosis, and extrinsic obstruction includes malrotation and SMA syndrome. Because of high incidence of associated anomalies, an evaluation of associated diseases is mandatory before operation.
