The macro and microvasculature of the dura mater
Neuroradiology, 1973The basic microvascular anatomy of the human dura is described. The named dural arteries give rise to two outer anastomotic sets of vessels. From the outer arteries, penetrating vessels descend to supply a rich capillary network located near the arachnoid.

Kaposi's sarcoma of the dura mater
Human Pathology, 1988A case of Kaposi's sarcoma of the dura mater diagnosed by biopsy at craniotomy for subdural hematoma in an acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) patient is presented. This occurrence expands the scope of AIDS surgical neuropathology and alerts pathologists to the possibility of what could eventually be a more frequent encounter.

Microvascularization of the intracranial dura mater
Surgical and Radiologic Anatomy, 1987The authors have studied the microvascularization of the intracranial dura mater by microradiographic and histologic examination of 73 injected anatomic specimens. There exists a very abundant superficial arterial plexus which also serves to supply the inner table of the cranial vault.

Primary Melanoma of the Dura Mater
British Journal of Neurosurgery, 1989A case of primary malignant melanoma of the dura mater occuring in a 10-year-old girl is reported. Surgical excision was complicated by the location of the lesion in the region of the torcular Herophili. The aetiology and treatment of melanoma in the central nervous system is discussed.

1986
The present phase of cardiac valve replacement began with reports from Harken,[1] Starr[2] and Duran and Gunning.[3] Since then, a great number of types of valvular substitutes have been and continue to be used, reflecting dissatisfaction with late results.

My purpose in this report is to discuss briefly the clinical manifestations of aneurysms of the dura mater. Two such cases were observed; in one a diagnosis was possible during life. In case 1 there was clinically no idea that the lesion of the brain could have been brought about by an aneurysm. REPORT OF CASES Case 1.—History.

Tearing of the dura mater in three dogs
Veterinary Record, 2000Tearing of the thoracolumbar dura mater was diagnosed after myelography in three large breed dogs. All three dogs lost the ability to walk suddenly, after a period of vigorous running or struggling. Radiographic changes suggested that the tearing of the dura was associated with intervertebral disc injury in two dogs.

Metastatic prostate adenocarcinoma of the dura mater
British Journal of Neurosurgery, 2000A 70-year-old man with known metastatic prostate carcinoma to the long bones of the lower extremities, presented with a several day history of lethargy and confusion. CT was interpreted as showing bilateral acute and chronic subdural hematomas (SDH). Upon opening the dura, a yellowish, firm tumor was layered over the frontal convexity.

Biomechanical characterization of human dura mater
Journal of the Mechanical Behavior of Biomedical Materials, 2018A reliable computational model of the human head is necessary for better understanding of the physical mechanisms of traumatic brain injury (TBI), car-crash investigation, development of protective head gear and advancement of dural replacement materials.
