Spherical Lignin‐Derived Hard Carbon Anode for Sodium‐Ion Batteries

ChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 15, 14 August 2026.
Low‐cost alkali lignin is converted into spherical hard carbon through controlled carbonization, accompanied by tunable pore formation and carbon‐structure evolution. The optimized hard carbon anode delivers high sodium‐storage capacity and remarkable long‐term stability, retaining 80.45% capacity after 1600 cycles at 500 mA g−1.

The high production of durian fruit in NTB is not balanced with the use of good durian seeds and only becomes waste. Therefore, KEJITAN (Durian Seed Cake) is made as a solution to maximize the utilization of healthy durian seeds and high selling value.
