Globisporangium, Phytopythium and Pythium Species Showed Pathogenic Potential on Macadamia in Australia

Surveys across 73 commercial macadamia facilities in Australia revealed Pythium, Phytopythium and Globisporangium species associated with tree decline. Pathogenicity assays using detached leaves and seedlings showed all species caused necrosis, identifying non‐Phytophthora oomycetes as key contributors to the macadamia root disease complex.
