House Dust Mite and Dust Control
Clinical Reviews in Allergy, 1988The available methods for controling dust mites in houses consist of washing bedding regularly, covering mattresses, and, when possible, removing carpets. This leaves the problem of fitted carpets in living rooms, as welt as the problem of sofa and chair upholsteries.

AbstractGood dust control in a solvent plant includes control at the grain receiving pits, the storage area, the grain drier preparation building and the meal handling area. The techniques and equipment required are fairly stan‐dardized. The four types of collectors available are the cyclone, wet scrubber, filter and electrostatic precipita‐tor.

Textile Research Journal, 1981
The paper presents work on the engineering aspects of controlling cotton dust. The factors that determine the dust conditions in a textile mill are discussed. A room-air mass balance is used to point out some possible control approaches. High-efficiency filtration-research approaches are presented and compared to other options that have not been fully

The State of Iowa currently has approximately 69,000 miles of unpaved secondary roads. Due to the low traffic count on these unpaved roads, paving with asphalt or Portland cement concrete is not economical. Therefore to reduce dust production, the use of dust suppressants has been utilized for decades.

HAVING been invited to comment on the foregoing letter, I would first say that I am entirely sympathy with its main thesis: a plea for the suppression of dangerous dusts by all known means. Unfortunately the authors' enthusiasm for dust suppression leads them to damage a perfectly sound case by overstatement.

Automated rock dusting controllers
Conference Record of the 1992 IEEE Industry Applications Society Annual Meeting, 2003The development of a device to detect a hazardous coal dust layer and automatically start rock-dusting concentrations to render the coal layer nonflammable is discussed. The controller makes use of a float dust deposition meter (FDDM) for measuring the thickness of deposited dust. The research consisted of three phases.
