Advanced Technologies for Characterizing and Detecting Battery Thermal Failure: A Review
Illustration of advanced characterization techniques to predict battery thermal failure. ABSTRACT Energy storage is essential in accelerating the global transition toward clean and sustainable energy across various sectors. Lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) have become increasingly significant for energy storage due to their high energy density, low ...

Bioinspired Morphology‐Decoupled Soft Gripper with Enhanced Bidirectional Grasping Capability
Inspired by biological predation, a novel gripper decouples cross‐modal grasping via dual morphological configurations. Synergistically integrating hybrid rigid and soft coupled fingers with a metamaterial palm, the system performs active compliant grasping for static objects and passive cage capture for dynamic targets.

Foliar spraying of CS‐CDs can form a film on the leaves of Brassica rapa, effectively reducing the enrichment and absorption of PS in the leaves, while increasing the biomass and nutrient content of the plants. In addition, CS‐CDs can also enrich the interfoliar microbial community and activate the plant's own defense metabolic pathways.

Molecules and dust in the ejecta of Type II-P supernovae [PDF]
We study the formation of molecules and dust clusters in the ejecta of solar metallicity, Type II-P supernovae using a chemical kinetic approach and follow the evolution of molecules and small dust cluster masses from day 100 to day 1500 after explosion.

On the source of the late-time infrared luminosity of SN 1998S and other type II supernovae
We present late-time near-infrared (NIR) and optical observations of the type IIn SN 1998S. The NIR photometry spans 333-1242 days after explosion, while the NIR and optical spectra cover 333-1191 days and 305-1093 days respectively.

A temporally controlled drug release coating is developed for abutments using a superhydrophobic coating self‐assembled on mesoporous silica. This surface provides sequential functionality: initial contamination resistance through non‐wetting, followed by controlled drug release via wettability transition.
