Nature, 1970
THERE is now considerable evidence to support the view that supernovae can be caused by the explosive ignition of degenerate material in evolved stars1. The conditions leading to such ignition have recently been investigated by Arnett (ref. 2 and private communication).

Burns, 1994
Two cases of burn injury following a dust explosion are presented. It is important to (1) rule out other serious injuries and (2) continuously reassess the patient for respiratory injury. The mechanism of dust explosions is described and preventative measures are discussed.

Dust Explosions in Process Plants
IEEE Industry Applications Magazine, 1999Dust explosions have caused extensive property damage and fatalities in process plants. Because of their familiarity, dusts do not get the respect that flammable vapors and gases receive. Dust explosion safety rules are entirely different from the safety rules for gases and vapors; dust is an entirely different phenomenon.
