The Adaptive Cycle Engine on Standard Duty Cycles

SAE Technical Paper Series, 2019
<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">Continuing research introduced at the 2018 WCX conference, this paper shows the result of simulations where a midsize sedan (1700 kg) fitted with an adaptive cycle engine and a CVT is operated over three standard duty cycles: US06, UDDS, and HWFET, and compared with the results ...

1∼99% Input Duty 50% Output Duty Cycle Corrector

2006 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2006
This work presents a high bandwidth and wide input duty range duty cycle corrector. A combined charge pump stabilizes the current/sink. A second order differential low-pass filter enhances the stability of the closed loop. A simplified low-voltage amplifier increases the input common-mode range.

Combating Aging with the Colt Duty Cycle Equalizer

2010 43rd Annual IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Microarchitecture, 2010
Bias temperature instability, hot-carrier injection, and gate-oxide wear out will cause severe lifetime degradation in the performance and the reliability of future CMOS devices. The design guard band to counter these negative effects will be too expensive, largely due to the worst-case behavior induced by the uneven utilization of devices on the chip.

Miniaturized electrical stimulator with controllable duty cycles

American Journal of Physiology-Heart and Circulatory Physiology, 1995
A stimulator with adjustable duty cycles is described for chronic electrical stimulation of skeletal muscles by way of a motor nerve. The stimulator is unique in that it can stimulate a muscle or group of muscles for 2-h intervals that alternate with variable periods of rest (2, 4, 6, 8, or 10 h). A given duty cycle is selected with a rotary switch at

Opportunistic forwarding in wireless networks with duty cycling

Proceedings of the third ACM workshop on Challenged networks, 2008
Opportunistic forwarding, by which data is randomly relayed to a neighbor based on local network information, is a fault-tolerant distributed algorithm particularly useful for challenged ad hoc and sensor networks where it is difficult to obtain global topology information because of frequent disruptions.

Adaptive Sampling and Duty Cycling for Smartphone Accelerometer

2013 IEEE 10th International Conference on Mobile Ad-Hoc and Sensor Systems, 2013
Mobile device based sensing provides a vast variety of user contextual information. To continuously acquire, classify and reason any context through built-in sensors cause mobile device batteries to deplete rapidly. Therefore, an urgent need has arisen to apply power saving approaches at the low level sensor operations while inferring user relevant ...

Evaluation of duty cycles for heavy-duty urban vehicles

2007
Three laboratories, VTT, Environment Canada and West Virginia University measured standard size urban buses driving various duty cycles on chassis dynamometers. The number of test cycles per laboratory varied from 6 to 16. Included in the vehicle matrix were European and North American diesel and natural gas vehicles.Environment Canada performed a ...
