ABSTRACT Time-shifted television can time-shift advertising. This study explores the frequency and timing of digital video recorder (DVR) advertising views in a sample of 2015–2016 drama, reality, and sports programs. Although the majority of recorded advertisements are “zipped” (fast-forwarded), some programs have many DVR viewers and delayed normal ...

DVRs Rating Optimization in an Interline DVR (IDVR) Considering Dominant Interval Concept
Electrical Engineering (ICEE), Iranian Conference on, 2018In some industrial areas such as industrial parks, if there are two independent feeders, it can used the DVR to compensate for Voltage Sag in any of the feeders. By connecting the dc link of the DVRs, the structure was called the IDVR (Interline DVR). The strategy so far used to determine the rated voltage of DVRs in an IDVR is based on minimizing of ...

DVR plating of distal radius fractures
Injury, 2015Volar plating has become the standard of care for most distal radius fractures. When done for the right indication and with adequate mastering of the technique complication ratio is low. The concept of subchondral support is key in this technique. Osteoporotic patients will especially benefit from this type of fixation which allows early immobilization,

The expansion of TV services such as DVR and, more recently, Catch-up have removed the temporal constraint typical of the Linear "appointment" TV enabling users to watch content they love at any time and on-demand. However, the DVR and Catch-up TV libraries, while providing a convenient time-shifted "on-demand" consumption, are indeed composed by ...

A TLBO Algorithm for Design Optimization of DVRs in an Interline DVR (IDVR)
2019 International Aegean Conference on Electrical Machines and Power Electronics (ACEMP) & 2019 International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM), 2019Because of the limitation of active power exchange between dynamic voltage restorers (DVRs) in an interline DVR (IDVR), selection of the appropriate voltage for each DVR in an IDVR should be carried out according to two conditions. First, voltage sags in each of the feeders are compensated, and second, IDVR rated kVA and total cost are reduced.

Efficient implementation of DVR's control
2009 IEEE Power & Energy Society General Meeting, 2009This paper reports the detailed implementation of a three-phase dynamic voltage restorer (DVR). Such devices have gained popularity among the PWM-based compensation series devices. Two cases are studied: balanced and unbalanced voltage sags, which are the most frequent disturbances.

Voltage Quality Improvement Using DVR
2010 International Conference on Recent Trends in Information, Telecommunication and Computing, 2010The problem of voltage sags and Swells and its severe impact on sensitive loads is well known. To solve this problem, custom power devices are used. One of those devices is the Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR), which is one of the most efficient and effective modern custom power devices used in power distribution networks.

Cascaded open-end winding transformer based DVR
2016 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE), 2016This paper introduces and generalizes a class of multilevel dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) for voltage sags/swells compensation of high-power sensitive loads. Such a device can improve the power quality of sensitive loads located in stiff systems.

The DVR gene family in embryonic development
Trends in Genetics, 1991The DVR gene family consists of at least 15 members, including decapentaplegic from Drosophila, Xenopus Vg1 and the mammalian bone morphogenetic protein genes, encoding secreted proteins closely related to transforming growth factor beta Genetic and biochemical evidence supports the idea that DVR proteins form part of a cascade of extracellular ...

Complex orientations and TP of complete DVRs
Homology, Homotopy and Applications, 2023For the ring spectrum \(E_*=\mathbb{F}_p\), the \(E_{\infty}\)-ring \(A=\mathbb{S}_{W(\mathbb{F}_q)}[z]\) and the \(E_1\)-\(A\)-algebra \(B=\mathcal{O}_L\), the ring of integers in finite extension of \(\mathbb{Q}_p\), the author defines the spectra \(TC^-(B/A)[z]\) and \(TP(B/A)[z]\) by using the topological Hochschild homology \(THH(B/A)\).
