We report results from a systematic wide-area search for faint dwarf galaxies at heliocentric distances from 0.3 to 2 Mpc using the full 6 yr of data from the Dark Energy Survey (DES).

The Ecosystem Of Dwarf Galaxies
It remains unclear what physical mechanisms are triggering starbursts in low-mass galaxies and what is the effect of stellar feedback in their shallow potential wells. We study a sample of 18 nearby starburst dwarfs using multi-wavelength data, including interferometric HI observations, HST imaging, and MUSE integral-field spectroscopy.

Gas heating from spinning and non-spinning evaporating primordial black holes
Primordial black holes (PBHs) from the early Universe constitute a viable dark matter (DM) candidate and can span many orders of magnitude in mass. Light PBHs with masses around 1015 g contribute to DM and will efficiently evaporate through Hawking ...

Globular Clusters in Dwarf Galaxies [PDF]
Data are presently available on the luminosities and half-light radii of 101 globular clusters associated with low-luminosity parent galaxies. The luminosity distribution of globulars embedded in dwarf galaxies having $M_{v} > -16$ is found to differ dramatically from that for globular clusters surrounding giant host galaxies with $M_{v} < -16 ...

Forecasts for Galaxy Formation and Dark Matter Constraints from Dwarf Galaxy Surveys
The abundance of faint dwarf galaxies is determined by the underlying population of low-mass dark matter (DM) halos and the efficiency of galaxy formation in these systems. Here, we quantify potential galaxy formation and DM constraints from future dwarf

The Dwarf Satellites of M31 and the Galaxy [PDF]
The satellite systems of M31 and the Galaxy are compared. It is noted that all five of the suspected stripped dSph cores of M31 companions are located within a projected distance of 40 kpc of from the nucleus of this galaxy, whereas the normal dSph companions to this object have distances > 40 kpc from the center of M31.

Intermediate Mass Ratio Inspirals in Milky Way Galaxies
A consequence of a nonzero occupation fraction of massive black holes (MBHs) in dwarf galaxies is that these MBHs can become residents of larger galaxy halos via hierarchical merging and tidal stripping.

HI Observations Towards the Sagittarius Dwarf Spheroidal Galaxy [PDF]
We have measured the 21-cm line of Galactic HI over more than 50 square degrees in the direction of the Sagittarius dwarf spheroidal galaxy. The data show no evidence of HI associated with the dwarf spheroidal which might be consider analogous to the ...

Dwarf Galaxies and Globular Clusters [PDF]
AbstractI briefly explore some relevant connections and differences between the evolutionary paths of dwarf galaxies and globular clusters.

We are entering an era in which we will be able to detect and characterize hundreds of dwarf galaxies within the Local Volume. It is already known that a strong dichotomy exists in the gas content and star formation properties of field dwarf galaxies ...
