CHEMISTRY AND KINEMATICS OF THE LATE-FORMING DWARF IRREGULAR GALAXIES LEO A, AQUARIUS, AND SAGITTARIUS DIG [PDF]
We present Keck/DEIMOS spectroscopy of individual stars in the relatively isolated Local Group dwarf galaxies Leo A, Aquarius, and the Sagittarius dwarf irregular galaxy.

Extended Schmidt law holds for faint dwarf irregular galaxies [PDF]
The extended Schmidt law (ESL) is a variant of the Schmidt law which relates the surface densities of gas and star formation, with the surface density of stellar mass added as an extra parameter.

Search for dark matter annihilation in the Wolf-Lundmark-Melotte dwarf irregular galaxy with H.E.S.S. [PDF]
We search for an indirect signal of dark matter through very high-energy gamma rays from the Wolf-Lundmark-Melotte (WLM) dwarf irregular galaxy. The pair annihilation of dark matter particles would produce Standard Model particles in the final state such

Formation and evolution of blue compact dwarfs: The origin of their steep rotation curves [PDF]
The origin of the observed steep rotation curves of blue compact dwarf galaxies (BCDs) remains largely unexplained by theoretical models of BCD formation. We therefore investigate the rotation curves in BCDs formed from mergers between gas-rich dwarf irregular galaxies based on the results of numerical simulations for BCD formation.

A turbulence study in Dwarf Irregular galaxies [PDF]
AbstractWe present preliminary results of a Fourier transform power spectra analysis carried out on a sample of dwarf irregular galaxies and Local Group members. This project is intended to study turbulence and the ISM structure in irregulars as a class.

MASS-TO-LIGHT VERSUS COLOR RELATIONS FOR DWARF IRREGULAR GALAXIES [PDF]
We have determined new relations between UBV colors and mass-to-light ratios (M/L) for dwarf irregular (dIrr) galaxies, as well as for transformed g′ − r′.

Coevolution of Dust and Chemistry in Galaxy Simulations with a Resolved Interstellar Medium
Nearby dwarf irregular galaxies are ideal laboratories for studying the interstellar medium (ISM) at low metallicity, which is expected to be common for galaxies at very high redshift being observed by JWST. We present the first high-resolution (∼0.2 pc)

Molecular Clouds in Dwarf Irregular Galaxies [PDF]
The study of molecular clouds in dwarf galaxies was, until recently, an arduous task and provided detections in only a handful of sources (see Thronson and Bally 1986; Wiklind et al. 1986; Tacconi and Young 1987; Arnoult et al. 1988). Line strengths observed in CO were small (<100mK) and measurements were confined to one position per source, thus ...

The fundamental plane of dwarf irregular galaxies [PDF]
Aims. Near-IR photometry of dwarf irregular galaxies (dIs) has been acquired to expand the sample of objects suitable for investigating the fundamental plane (FP) discovered previously by us. Data for blue compact dwarfs (BCDs), dwarf ellipticals (dEs), and dwarf spheroidal galaxies (dSphs) are amalgamated to evaluate how closely these classes of ...
