A Rare Form of Microcephalic Primordial Dwarfism due to NSMCE2 Deficiency (Seckel Syndrome Type 10): A Report of Macular Involvement

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Biallelic variants in NSMCE2 (MMS21), which encodes the SUMO E3 ligase subunit of the SMC5/6 chromatin‐maintenance complex, have recently been implicated in microcephalic primordial dwarfism (MPD), corresponding to Seckel syndrome type 10 (OMIM #617246).

Field performance of "marsh seedless" grapefruit on trifoliate orange inoculated with viroids in Brazil Desempenho do pomeleiro "marsh seedles" enxertado em trifoliata inoculado com viróides no Brasil

open access: yesScientia Agricola, 2007
Some viroids reduce citrus tree growth and may be used for tree size control aiming the establishment of orchards with close tree spacing that may provide higher productivity than conventional ones.

Dwarf-dwarf interactions: a common origin for dwarf Wolf-Rayet galaxies [PDF]

open access: yesSymposium - International Astronomical Union, 1999
We present some results of an observational programme devoted to obtain deep imagery and high-resolution spectroscopy for a sample of dwarf Wolf-Rayet galaxies. Our main result is that interaction with fainter optical companions could be the origin of the strong star formation episodes observed in, at least, an important fraction of the objects. In all

Real‐time monitoring of root dielectric properties for assessing crop plant damage caused by foliar application of glyphosate

open access: yesApplications in Plant Sciences, EarlyView.
Abstract Premise There is a knowledge gap regarding how foliar injury and restricted water uptake can be detected by measuring root dielectric response. This pot study nondestructively evaluated the efficiency of real‐time dielectric measurement to monitor the effects of glyphosate spraying.

Tooth row allometry in domestic rabbits and nondomestic lagomorphs: Evidence for a decoupling of body and tooth row size changes in evolutionary time

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Domestic rabbits of different body sizes differ disproportionately in the length of their tooth row or the length of their diastema. Abstract In various domestic mammals, smaller breeds tend to have proportionally larger teeth, whereas this is not a universal trend across mammals.

The Effect of Dwarfing Interstocks on Vegetative Growth, Fruit Quality and Ionome Nutrition of ‘Fuji’ Apple Cultivar ‘Tianhong 2’—A One-Year Study

open access: yesPlants, 2023
Dwarfing interstocks play an essential role in determining the performance of fruit trees. SH40, Jizhen 1, and Jizhen 2 are widely used dwarfing interstocks in Hebei Province, China.

Two quantitative trait loci, Dw1 and Dw2, are primarily responsible for rootstock-induced dwarfing in apple

open access: yes, 2015
International audienceThe apple dwarfing rootstock 'Malling9' ('M9') has been used worldwide both to reduce scion vigour and as a genetic source for breeding new rootstocks.

Multi‐method analysis for the three‐dimensional reconstruction of muscle fascicles from DiceCT datasets

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Muscle architecture is a major determinant of muscle performance and, in mammalian lineages, has been correlated with both feeding ecology and locomotor behaviors. Over the past decade, contrast‐enhanced micro‐CT (DiceCT) has emerged as an alternative to traditional dissection‐based measurement.

Integrated metabolomic and transcriptomic analyses of regulatory mechanisms associated with uniconazole-induced dwarfism in banana

open access: yesBMC Plant Biology, 2022
Background Uniconazole is an effective plant growth regulator that can be used in banana cultivation to promote dwarfing and enhance lodging resistance. However, the mechanisms underlying banana dwarfing induced by uniconazole are unknown. In uniconazole-
