Summary: This paper presents a VLSI implementation of One Dimensional Direct Discrete Wavelet transform (1-D DWT). The DDWT can be viewed as a multi-resolution decomposition of a signal. This means that it decomposes a signal into its components in different frequency bands (octave bands). We propose a new architecture using parallel filters.

A new hiding scheme of digital image is introduced in this paper, which is robust to image processing such as JPEG compression, median filtering, adding Gauss noise, cropping, and histogram equalization.
