Filter Banks and DWT

2013
The study of digital signal processing normally concentrates on the design, realization, and application of single-input, single-output digital filters. There are applications, as in the case of spectrum analyzer, where it is desired to separate a signal into a set of sub-band signals occupying, usually nonoverlapping, portions of the original ...

Uncalibrated stereo matching using DWT

Proceedings 15th International Conference on Pattern Recognition. ICPR-2000, 2002
This paper presents a hierarchical stereo matching strategy using the discrete wavelet transform (DWT). Both area- and feature-based methods are combined into a single process by taking advantage of the discrete wavelet decomposition. Image components extracted from the approximation, horizontal, and vertical channels of the decomposition are combined ...

DWT-DCT-SVD based watermarking

2008 3rd International Conference on Communication Systems Software and Middleware and Workshops (COMSWARE '08), 2008
Some works are reported in the frequency domain watermarking using Single Value Decomposition (SVD). The two most commonly used methods are based on DCT-SVD and DWT-SVD. The commonly present disadvantages in traditional watermarking techniques such as inability to withstand attacks are absent in SVD based algorithms.

Optimized DWT-based image watermarking

2008 First International Conference on the Applications of Digital Information and Web Technologies (ICADIWT), 2008
The discrete wavelet transform is used extensively as a basis for efficient digital image watermarking. However, most wavelets-based watermarking algorithms failed to provide perceptual transparency and robustness simultaneously, since these two watermarking requirements are conflicting requirements.

Performance Analysis of DWT Families

2020 3rd International Conference on Intelligent Sustainable Systems (ICISS), 2020
Discrete wavelet transform (DWT) is a technique which is used to acquire wavelets from image pixels. It transforms a discrete time signal to discrete wavelet representation. The DWT has shown great performance in digital image compression, demodulation, demultiplexing and denoising applications.

DWT-based stereoscopic image watermarking

SPIE Proceedings, 2011
Watermarking already imposed itself as an effective and reliable solution for conventional multimedia content protection (image/video/audio/3D). By persistently (robustly) and imperceptibly (transparently) inserting some extra data into the original content, the illegitimate use of data can be detected without imposing any annoying constraint to a ...

DWT Based Audio Encryption Scheme

2018 Second International Conference on Electronics, Communication and Aerospace Technology (ICECA), 2018
In today's world when data is transferred from one person to another, a very high level of security is required. Cryptography is very successful in keeping communication private and it involves the study of Encryption and Decryption. Encryption scrambles the data and produces a secret code which then can be read or decrypted by a secret key or password.

Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT)

2015
The wavelet transform can be seen as a wavelet-based expansion (decomposition) of a finite-energy signal. In the discrete wavelet transform (DWT), economy in the representation of the signal and possibility of perfect signal reconstruction (PR) are crucial.

DWT-Based Power Quality Classification

2013
This chapter presents application of DWT and fuzzy set theory to classification of power quality problems. The system uses discrete wavelet transform as linear filters for preprocessing and fuzzy expert system for feature extraction and classification. The signal under test (electrical current or voltage for power quality study) is processed through a ...

DWT-Based Segmentation Method for Coronary Arteries

Journal of Medical Systems, 2014
This work presents a new method for segmenting coronary arteries automatically in computed tomography angiography (CTA) data sets. The method automatically isolates heart and coronary arteries from surrounding structures and search for the probable location of coronary arteries by 3D region growing.
