The Stable Limit DAHA and the Double Dyck Path Algebra [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
The double Dyck path algebra (DDPA) is the key algebraic structure that governs the phenomena behind the shuffle and rational shuffle conjectures.

Does Managerial Ability Improve Environmental Performance and Overall ESG Ratings? The Impact of the European Sustainability Reporting Mandate

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines the role of managerial ability in driving environmental performance and overall environmental, social, and governance (ESG) ratings in the context of the European Union sustainability reporting regulations. Using a sample of 7242 firm‐year observations over the period 2015–2023, our results indicate a structural change in ...

The Ascent Lattice on Dyck Paths

open access: yesThe Electronic Journal of Combinatorics
In the Stanley lattice defined on Dyck paths of size $n$, cover relations are obtained by replacing a valley $DU$ by a peak $UD$. We investigate a greedy version of this lattice, first introduced by Chenevière, where cover relations replace a factor $DU^k D$ by $U^kD^2$.

Board Networks and Corporate Carbon Emissions: A Cross‐Country Analysis of Causal Effects

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines whether board networks influence corporate carbon emissions and the strategic pathways through which firms decarbonize. Using a sample of 1952 firms across 48 countries from 2003 to 2020, we employ dynamic stacked regressions that exploit exogenous carbon‐regulation shocks affecting firms connected through shared third ...

Dyck fundamental group on arcwise-connected polygon cycles

open access: yes, 2023
<p>This paper introduces the Dyck fundamental group presentation of arcwise-connected polygon cycles resulting from invariant transforms that preserve the ratio of collinear points in the Desargues affine plane.

Efficient Exact Paths For Dyck and semi-Dyck Labeled Path Reachability

open access: yesCoRR, 2018
The exact path length problem is to determine if there is a path of a given fixed cost between two vertices. This paper focuses on the exact path problem for costs $-1,0$ or $+1$ between all pairs of vertices in an edge-weighted digraph. The edge weights are from $\{ -1, +1 \}$. In this case, this paper gives an $\widetilde{O}(n^ω)$ exact path solution.

When Nature Counts: Corporate Biodiversity Attention and Access to Bank Finance

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper investigates whether corporate attention to biodiversity influences firms' access to bank loans, an overlooked question in the emerging biodiversity–finance literature. Using a novel, text‐based measure constructed from 446 biodiversity‐related keywords and applied to Chinese A‐share listed firms from 2000 to 2023, we show that ...

Nondecreasing Dyck paths and q-Fibonacci numbers

open access: yes, 1997
In this paper, we introduce a subclass of the Dyck paths (Delest and Viennot, 1984) called nondecreasing Dyck paths which are enumerated by the Fibonacci numbers having odd indexes.
