Breadth at the Helm: Generalist CEOs and Corporate ESG Performance‐Evidence From China
ABSTRACT Drawing on the Upper Echelons Theory and the Imprinting Theory, this study conjectures that generalist CEOs may have a stronger tendency to pursue environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals. We perform multiple regression analyses with observations of Shanghai and Shenzhen A‐share listed companies from 2010 to 2023 in order to explore ...

Complexity of Dyck-reachability in directed graphs [PDF]
We study the problem of Dyck-reachability in directed graphs de ned as follows: given a directed graph with edges labeled by either open or close parentheses, we claim that a vertex is Dyck-reachable from another if there is a path between these two ...

Enumeration of Dyck paths with air pockets
We introduce and study the new combinatorial class of Dyck paths with air pockets. We exhibit a bijection with the peakless Motzkin paths which transports several pattern statistics and give bivariate generating functions for the distribution of patterns as peaks, returns and pyramids.

Seats at the Table, Shifts in the Actions: Board Gender Diversity and Climate Activism
ABSTRACT As regulatory and stakeholder pressures intensify, firms are increasingly expected to move beyond symbolic sustainability commitments towards corporate climate activism. This concept refers to the active institutionalisation of climate‐focused mechanisms such as external assurance, board oversight and climate‐linked incentives.

Green Hunter or Green Detractor? Strategic Orientations and Green Revenues
Abstract We bridge a research gap concerning whether varying strategic orientations can be aligned with the transition to greener business practices. Drawing on resource‐based theory and stakeholder theory, we investigate how growth‐ and profit‐oriented strategic orientations shape firms’ capacity to generate green revenues that integrate economic ...

Given a positive rational $q$, we consider Dyck paths having height at most two with some constraints on the number of consecutive peaks and consecutive valleys, depending on $q$. We introduce a general class of Dyck paths, called rational Dyck paths, and provide the associated generating function, according to their semilength, as well as the ...

The area above the Dyck path of a permutation
In this paper we study a mapping from permutations to Dyck paths. A Dyck path gives rise to a (Young) diagram and we give relationships between statistics on permutations and statistics on their corresponding diagrams.

From Dyck Paths to Standard Young Tableaux
We present nine bijections between classes of Dyck paths and classes of standard Young tableaux (SYT). In particular, we consider SYT of flag and rectangular shapes, we give Dyck path descriptions for certain SYT of height at most 3, and we introduce a ...

Weighted Dyck paths and nonstationary queues
We consider a model for a queue in which only a fixed number N of customers can join. Each customer joins the queue independently at an exponentially distributed time.
