Porphyrin-Based Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSCs): a Review

Journal of Fluorescence, 2017
The current review aims to collect short information about photovoltaic performance and structure of porphyrin-based sensitizers used in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC). Sensitizer is the key component of the DSSC device. Structure of sensitizer is important to achieve high photovoltaic performance.

Recent Advancement on Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC)

2022
Irrespective of the photo incident angle and lighting condition of a day, DSSC is a kind of photovoltaic device consistent to generate power. Power extracted in diffuse light condition from DSSC is greater than the generated power from a conventional existing photovoltaic cell. This lucrative feature drives many to improve the device performance.

Thermal stress effects on Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSCs)

Microelectronics Reliability, 2011
Abstract Since the DSSCs gain heat during exposure to sunlight increasing its own temperature, we have studied the role of temperature on the degradation of DSSCs. We have performed pure thermal stresses keeping the devices at a constant temperature inside a climatic chamber and monitoring the electrical parameters during stress.

TiO₂ dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs)

2018
In this study, the effects of particle size, crystal phase and morphology on the overall solar cell performance were examined. It was found that the TiO 2 nanoparticle film with smaller particles ~10 nm in diameter resulted in a lower light-to-electricity conversion efficiency than larger particles with diameter of ~25 nm. Photoanode coated with larger

Review on polymer electrolyte in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs)

Solar Energy, 2015
Abstract The dependence of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) on the liquid electrolytes set the limitation and restriction on the expending of the DSSC module fabrication. Moreover, the reductions in its performances were observed as consequences from electron recombination in semiconductor–liquid electrolytes interfaces.

Construction of Dye-sensitized Solar Cells (DSSC) with Natural Pigments

Materials Today: Proceedings, 2016
Abstract This work is focused on the study of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC) based on the semiconductor titanium dioxide (TiO 2 ) as electron conductor and the search for an appropriate organic sensitizer for TiO 2 . In this work, several natural sensitizers have been tested, including blackberries, hibiscus, spinach and grass and the relationship

Dye Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSCs) Electrolytes and Natural Photo-Sensitizers: A Review

Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, 2020
Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) have become the subject matter of significant interest for the research and due to their urge in the field of energy conservation. The safe supply of energy is welfare of human life. However, as an unattainable power-energy conservation source, also depletion of fossil fuels is an unfortunate mandate and, definitely ...

FRET resonance energy transfer for dye-sensitizer solar cells (DSSC)

2021
Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) is based on dipole-dipole coupling between two different molecules or molecular fragments separated by a short distance, one of which is able to transfer its energy to the other by means of a non-radiative mechanism.

Short review: Natural pigments photosensitizer for dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC)

2017 IEEE 15th Student Conference on Research and Development (SCOReD), 2017
Dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC) is the third generation solar cell that consists of semiconductor electrode, dye, electrolyte and counter electrode. Among all of the components, dyes perform a primary role in absorbing solar energy and converting it to electrical energy.
