Effect of Different Irrigating Solutions on the Apical Sealing Ability of Resin Based Root Canal Sealer

open access: yesAnnals of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and Karachi Medical & Dental College, 2023
Objective: To assess the effect of different irrigating solutions (Normal saline, 5.25% NaOCl and 90% Ethanol) on apical sealing ability of resin based root canal sealer filled with single cone obturating technique in extracted teeth.

Sappan and Tingi Wood as a Dye for Gmelina (Gmelina arborea Roxb.) and Lento-Lento Wood (Arthrophillum diversifollium) at Different Coloring Duration

open access: yesمجلة بغداد للعلوم
This study investigates the effects of dyeing duration and soaking pre-treatment on the coloring performance of Sappan (Caesalpinia sappan) and Tingi (Ceriops candolleana) dyes applied to Gmelina (Gmelina arborea Roxb.) and Lento-lento (Arthrophyllum ...

Dye-Triplet-Sensitized Downshifting Nanoprobes with Ratiometric Dual-NIR-IIb Emission for Accurate In Vivo Detection

open access: yes
Despite the emerging near-infrared-IIb (NIR-IIb, 1500–1700 nm) bioimaging significantly improving the in vivo penetration depth and resolution, quantitative detection with accuracy remains challenging due to its inhomogeneous fluorescence signal ...

A new flow chip in combination with multiphoton microscopy as a protocol for longitudinal 3D imaging of tissue calcification under shear stress

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Miniaturized flow chip platform enabling continuous perfusion and longitudinal multiphoton 3D imaging of vascular smooth muscle cell constructs under physiological flow. Brightfield imaging guides region selection, while CellTracker Green and mRuby‐labeled fetuin‐A visualize cells and mineral deposition, respectively. Magnesium supplementation markedly

Dose‐dependent hepatotoxicity of hydrogen peroxide in HepG2 cells and its modulation by CYP450 induction

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
NMR metabolomics revealed concentration‐dependent metabolic perturbations in HepG2 cells exposed to H2O2. Rifampicin pretreatment enhanced metabolic competence, attenuated toxin‐induced alterations and produced metabolite profiles more consistent with human liver physiology, supporting the use of CYP450‐induced HepG2 models for improved in vitro ...

Subglacial drainage processes at a High Arctic polythermal valley glacier [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Dye-tracer experiments undertaken over two summer melt seasons at polythermal John Evans Glacier, Ellesmere Island, Canada, were designed to investigate the character of the subglacial drainage system and its evolution over a melt season. In both summers,

Adenosine triphosphate as a modulator of protein interactions and stability

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ATP is best known as the cell's energy currency, but it also shapes how proteins fold, interact, aggregate and form biomolecular condensates. This review explains the emerging physical principles behind these effects, including weak binding to charged protein regions, magnesium‐dependent behaviour and concentration‐dependent control of protein ...

BCG vaccination potentiates oxidative phosphorylation in neonatal myeloid‐derived suppressor cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
BCG vaccination enhances oxidative phosphorylation in neonatal MDSCs, impairing their immunosuppressive function. It upregulates electron transport chain genes and mitochondrial activity, increasing ATP and oxygen consumption. Pharmacological OXPHOS inhibition partially restores suppressive capacity, confirming causality.
