Damped dynamic vibration absorber
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1986A pump is disclosed having a damped dynamic vibration absorber for attenuating pump vibration in response to a periodic disturbing force generated when the pump is in operation. The vibration absorber comprises elastic means, an annular mass and an energy dissipative means.

Synthesis of Dynamic Vibration Absorbers
Journal of Vibration and Acoustics, 1985A method for designing dynamic vibration absorbers which create antiresonances at specified points on a sinusoidally forced vibratory system is described. Spring-mass absorber systems are treated in detail. Among all possible solutions, a unique minimum mass solution is shown to exist if the relative displacement of the absorber mass is constrained ...

Dynamic absorber with pneumatic springs
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1980The disclosure is directed to a dynamic absorber with pneumatic springs, which absorber is adapted for absorbing a vibration of a machine caused by an excitation force generated in the machine. The dynamic absorber comprises a pair of pneumatic springs disposed to be spaced apart from one another along a preselected spring action line, a weight means ...

Active Remote Dynamic Absorber
SAE Technical Paper Series, 2003<div class="htmlview paragraph">An active remote dynamic absorber (ARDA) is proposed for the vibration suppression of beams. The technique is an extension of the remote dynamic absorber method (RDA) that has been proposed recently. Both techniques (RDA and ARDA) are remote. That is, no direct attachment of the dynamic absorber beam to the primary

Platelike Dynamic Vibration Absorbers
Journal of Engineering for Industry, 1975Platelike dynamic vibration absorbers of novel design are described, and optimum values of their tuning and damping parameters are specified in graphical form. The dynamic absorbers are assumed to comprise either a circular or an annular damped plate that is loaded at its outer perimeter by a rigid annular mass.

Transient Behavior of the Dynamic Absorber
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1959The ability of a dynamic absorber of optimum design to reduce the transient motion of resiliently mounted equipment is discussed theoretically. The motion of the mounted item is assumed to result from step-like foundation displacements possessing a wide range of rise times. The absorber mass is attached to the mounted item by a viscously damped spring.
