Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

The dynamic vibration absorbers consist of a mass and a viscoelastic element. As the mechanical models of the viscoelastic absorber element, the Voigt model, the Maxwell model and the three-element model are employed. The Voigt model is identical to the viscoeelastic element for the conventional dynamic absorbers.

A new type of balancing machine is proposed which uses a dynamic vibration absorber as a device measuring unbalance. When an unbalanced rotor rotates, centrifugal forces are generated which result in sinusoidal forces being transmitted to the supporting structure.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Dynamic absorber for ropeway gondola using Coriolis force
Wind-induced swinging of ropeway gondola can be reduced using dynamic absorbers. To maximize the performance of conventional dynamic absorbers, their location should be as high as possible. However, absorbers can not be installed at high positions due to

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Behavior of Magnetic Dynamic Absorber
In order to reduce the amplitude of a vibrating system excited by an external force, a magnetic dynamic absorber can be utilized. The system with the magnetic dynamic absorber has non-linear characteristics. Generally for the non-linear system there exist two steady solutions which are locally stable in a certain interval of the excited frequency ...

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

The design parameters of the dynamic vibration absorber significantly affect the motion performance of the main vibration system. The Brock's approaching zero method was improved as approaching the fixed point frequency method.

Design and Mechanical Properties Test of Double Dynamic Vibration Absorber forHigh-temperature Pipelines [PDF]
In view of the fact that it was difficult to solve the problem of irregular vibration of small and mediumsized branch pipes in nuclear power units with traditional vibration damping supports, a circular double three-waydynamic vibration absorber based ...
