Detecting homologous recombination deficiency for breast cancer through integrative analysis of genomic data

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study develops a semi‐supervised classifier integrating multi‐genomic data (1404 training/5893 validation samples) to improve homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) detection in breast cancer. Our method demonstrates prognostic value and predicts chemotherapy/PARP inhibitor sensitivity in HRD+ tumours.

A non‐fluorescent immunohistochemistry method for measuring autophagy flux using MAP1LC3/LC3 and SQSTM1 as core markers

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We introduce an immunohistochemistry method to measure autophagy flux, highlighting the active degradation and recycling of cellular waste. This cost‐effective approach uses tissue samples to track key markers like LC3 and SQSTM1, revealing how cells maintain health or respond to diseases such as cancer. It bridges the gap between research and clinical

Neuromotor Incoordination Predictive of ADHD

open access: yesPediatric Neurology Briefs, 2003
Quantitative and qualitative motor performance on the Maastricht Motor test was evaluated in 401 children ages 5 to 6 years (232 males, 169 females) who were tested 18 months later for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and ODD/CD, in a ...

Dynamic balancing of planar mechanisms using toric geometry [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2007
In this paper, a new method to determine the complete set of dynamically balanced planar four-bar mechanims is presented. Using complex variables to model the kinematics of the mechanism, the dynamic balancing constraints are written as algebraic equations over complex variables and joint angular velocities.

Dynamic load balancing with group communication

open access: yesTheoretical Computer Science, 2006
AbstractThis work considers the problem of efficiently performing a set of tasks using a network of processors in the setting where the network is subject to dynamic reconfigurations, including partitions and merges. A key challenge for this setting is the implementation of dynamic load balancing that reduces the number of tasks that are performed ...

A threshold of transmembrane potential is required for mitochondrial dynamic balance mediated by DRP1 and OMA1

open access: yesCellular and Molecular Life Sciences, 2016
As an organellar network, mitochondria dynamically regulate their organization via opposing fusion and fission pathways to maintain bioenergetic homeostasis and contribute to key cellular pathways.

India's trade with USA and her trade balance: An empirical analysis [PDF]

open access: yes
This study explores the affect of India's exchange rate with US on Indian trade balance over the period of 1965-2008. We use ARDL bounds testing approach to cointegration and for dynamic analysis IRFs and VDs.

An enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)‐based activity assay for AMP‐activated protein kinase (AMPK)

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Measuring AMP‐activated protein kinase (AMPK) activity in vitro is crucial for testing AMPK activators or inhibitors with therapeutic potential. Here, we report an enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)‐based AMPK activity assay with simple steps and high sensitivity, which offers a simple, robust, and cost‐effective alternative to traditional ...

Viscosity scaling of fingering instability in finite slices with Korteweg stress

open access: yes, 2015
We perform linear stability analyses (LSA) and direct numerical simulations (DNS) to investigate the influence of the dynamic viscosity on viscous fingering (VF) instability in miscible slices.
