Dynamic bandwidth allocation to virtual paths
1998 IEEE International Performance, Computing and Communications Conference. Proceedings (Cat. No.98CH36191), 2002An important problem associated with virtual paths is to determine the bandwidths that should be allocated to the set of virtual paths in the network. The bandwidth allocation to virtual path has strong impact on network throughput, signaling and call blocking QoS.

Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation in a TDMA System
1983This satellite system provides integrated voice and digital data communication services for corporations via a geosynchronous satellite. IBM was contracted to build the Satellite Communications Controller (SCC) for the earth stations. The SCC provides signal conversion, traffic switching, data multiplexing and TDMA control for the system. Each SCC also

Fuzzy-Based Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation System
2005This article proposes a network Quality of Service (QoS) system named Fuzzy-based Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation (FDBA) system which partitions network traffic into several channels and then recommends a suitable queuing strategy to network administrator so that user traffic and heterogeneous data packets of different classes can be properly multiplexed.

A dynamic bandwidth allocation scheme for EPON
SPIE Proceedings, 2008This paper analyses current bandwidth schemes and proposes a novel dynamic bandwidth allocation scheme for EPON. According the scheme, we define four kinds of multimedia services such as Unsolicited Request Service (URS), Realtime Service (rt-S), Non-Real-time Service (nrt-S) and Best Effort (BE).

A fuzzy dynamic bandwidth re-allocator
IEEE CCECE2002. Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering. Conference Proceedings (Cat. No.02CH37373), 2003A high-speed network typically assigns each admitted connection a fixed bandwidth, somewhere between its mean and peak transmission rate. As an alternative, we develop a novel scheme for re-assigning network resources periodically on the basis of current network conditions.

Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation for Home and SOHO Wireless Networks
2018 IEEE Symposium on Computers and Communications (ISCC), 2018Communications using wireless networks nowadays receives an increasing amount of users and devices. This implies in an increasing need for improvements in wireless networks. IEEE 802.11ac standard enables channels wider than 20 MHz bandwidth. But currently, access points allocate channel bandwidth statically, independent of the clients’ configurations.

Dynamic bandwidth allocation in a reconfigurable and converged access network
2014 22nd Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2014In this paper, we propose a reconfigurable and converged optical access network architecture with dynamic bandwidth allocation. The network proposes the co-existence of long term evolution (LTE), wireless interoperability for microwave access (WiMax) and ultra-wide band (UWB) technologies.

Intelligent dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithm for metro networks
SPIE Proceedings, 2010A novel dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithm named GTH-DBA is proposed for metro networks. A testbed is constructed to test its performance. Numeric results show that this algorithm is effective to improve the bandwidth efficiency of the metro networks.

Minimum Credit Method for Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation in EPON
IEICE Transactions on Communications, 2007We suggest a new minimum credit method for the dynamic bandwidth allocation in EPON. In the suggested method, to eliminate the unused transmission time-slot, each ONU requests no more than a predetermined maximum. We analyze the upstream channel resource wastage when traffic is light. Based on the analysis, we derive a minimum credit that eliminate the

WDM Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation Schemes for Ethernet PONs
2009WDM based dynamic bandwidth allocation schemes are proposed as potential future-proof upgrade solutions for access PON systems. The schemes represent cost-efficient ways to exploit the virtually unlimited bandwidth afforded by passive optical architectures whilst remaining fully compatible with the IEEE Ethernet standard for the first mile (EFM 802.3ah)
