Dynamic channel assignment in cellular radio [PDF]

open access: yes40th IEEE Conference on Vehicular Technology, 2002
Dynamic channel assignment algorithms for cellular systems are developed. The algorithms are compared with an easily simulated bound. Using this bound, it is demonstrated that in the case of homogeneous spatial traffic distribution, some of these algorithms are virtually unbeatable by any channel assignment algorithm.

Providing Dynamic TXOP for QoS Support of Video Transmission in IEEE 802.11e WLANs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The IEEE 802.11e standard introduced by IEEE 802.11 Task Group E (TGe) enhances the Quality of Service (QoS) by means of HCF Controlled Channel Access (HCCA). The scheduler of HCCA allocates Transmission Opportunities (TXOPs) to QoS-enabled Station (QSTA)

NMS-Free Oriented Object Detection Based on Channel Expansion and Dynamic Label Assignment in UAV Aerial Images

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2023
Object detection in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) aerial images has received extensive attention in recent years. The current mainstream oriented object detection methods for aerial images often suffer from complex network structures, slow inference ...

Analytical method to compute capacity improvement of dynamic channel assignment with power control [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
An analytical method is proposed to compute the capacity improvement of a dynamic channel assignment with power control (DCA/PC). A closed-form expression is derived to calculate the capacity of the DCA/PC, which is improved more than 150% compared with ...

Comparison of Metaheuristic Algorithms for Interface-Constrained Channel Assignment in a Hybrid Dynamic Spectrum Access – Wi-Fi Infrastructure WMN

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
In this work, we evaluate the application of four different metaheuristic optimisation algorithms for solving the channel assignment problem in a multi-radio multi-channel Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) using Dynamic Spectrum Access (DSA). The work advances

A quasi-static cluster-computing approach for dynamic channelassignment in cellular mobile communication systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Efficient management of the radio spectrum can be accomplished by making use of channel assignment techniques, which work by allocating different channels of the spectrum to the cells of the network in a conflict-free manner (i.e., the co-channel ...

A Useful Metaheuristic for Dynamic Channel Assignment in Mobile Cellular Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Interactive Multimedia and Artificial Intelligence, 2012
The prime objective of a Channel Assignment Problem (CAP) is to assign appropriate number of required channels to each cell in a way to achieve both efficient frequency spectrum utilization and minimization of interference effects (by satisfying a number

Performance Analysis of QoS-Oriented OFDMA Protocol Based on IEEE 802.11ax for Cognitive Radio Network

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
To improve the quality of service (QoS) on the internet of medical things, a cognitive radio (CR) protocol based on orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) is proposed, named CR-OFDMA.

State-of-the-art of distributed channel assignment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Channel assignment for Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) attempts to increase the network performance by decreasing the interference of simultaneous transmissions. The reduction of interference is achieved by exploiting the availability of fully or partially
