Optimal Design and Dynamic Characteristic Analysis of Double-Link Trapezoidal Suspension for 3WPYZ High Gap Self-Propelled Sprayer

open access: yesAgriculture
A fast spraying speed, wide working area, and easy operation are the operational advantages of high-clearance boom sprayers. To address the issue of spray boom mechanical vibration affecting the spraying effect, a double-link trapezoidal boom suspension ...

Numerical analysis of the unsteady fluid force acting on an axially oscillating balance piston (2nd report, Comparison of dynamic characteristics of fluid forces acting on front and back shrouds)

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2014
Dynamic response of the fluid force acting on an axially oscillating balance piston was numerically investigated. The balance piston of a rocket engine turbopump was modeled and forced to oscillate in the axial direction.

Interplay between circadian and other transcription factors—Implications for cycling transcriptome reprogramming

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This perspective highlights emerging insights into how the circadian transcription factor CLOCK:BMAL1 regulates chromatin architecture, cooperates with other transcription factors, and coordinates enhancer dynamics. We propose an updated framework for how circadian transcription factors operate within dynamic and multifactorial chromatin landscapes ...

Disordered but rhythmic—the role of intrinsic protein disorder in eukaryotic circadian timing

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Unstructured domains known as intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) are present in nearly every part of the eukaryotic core circadian oscillator. IDRs enable many diverse inter‐ and intramolecular interactions that support clock function. IDR conformations are highly tunable by post‐translational modifications and environmental conditions, which ...

Combinatorial regulation: characteristics of dynamic correlations

open access: yesIET Systems Biology, 2009
A cis-regulatory module often processes multiple regulatory inputs provided by transcription factors that bind to DNA and regulate the expression of the gene in a combinatorial logic manner. Here the authors analyse dynamic cross correlations between the regulator concentrations and the output of the gene using stochastic modelling, and show their ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Design and Flow Characteristics of a Gravity-Driven Flow Control Valve

open access: yesMachines
Ultra-high-temperature and pressure downhole environments pose challenges for conventional electronic instruments to adapt to high-temperature formations, thereby restricting the application of downhole electronic tool technology in deep and ultra-deep ...

Dynamic Characteristic Identification

open access: yes
This paper introduces a dynamic system parameter extraction approach using experimental data and a known characteristic equation for a single degree of freedom mass-spring-damper system. The efficacy of curve fitting to determine mass, damping, and stiffness for simulated underdamped, critically damped, and overdamped systems is explored.

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.
