Fabrication of Fibers With Complex Features Using Thermal Drawing of 3D‐Printed Preforms
3D printing enables rapid fabrication of macroscale polymer preforms with complex geometries. Thermal drawing then scales these structures into long fibers while preserving micron‐scale cross‐sectional features. This workflow provides a fast, low‐cost route to functional fibers with tailored geometries and material combinations for catheter, robotic ...

The bacterial DNA sliding clamp, β-clamp: structure, interactions, dynamics and drug discovery
AbstractDNA replication is a tightly coordinated event carried out by a multiprotein replication complex. An essential factor in the bacterial replication complex is the ring-shaped DNA sliding clamp, β-clamp, ensuring processive DNA replication and DNA repair through tethering of polymerases and DNA repair proteins to DNA.

Negation of Kv7 by dynamic clamp facilitates the induction of LTP.
A) Negative dynamic clamp Kv7 conductance facilitates LTP. Coincident TBP of subthreshold EPSPs and somatic action potentials induced pathway specific LTP in the test (black circles), but not in control (white circles) pathways.

Automated poultry processing lines still rely on humans to lift slippery, easily bruised carcasses onto a shackle conveyor. Deformability, anatomical variance, and hygiene rules make conventional suction and scripted motions unreliable. We present ChicGrasp, an end‐to‐end hardware‐software co‐designed imitation learning framework, to offer a ...

Origami‐Inspired Structural Design for Aquatic‐Terrestrial Amphibious Robots
This work presents a lightweight amphibious origami robot actuated by a single shape memory alloy wire. A rigid foldable origami structure with displacement amplification enables efficient terrestrial crawling and aquatic swimming. The addition of fan‐shaped units allows controllable turning in both environments.

A Soft Robotic Fish With a Dielectric Elastomer Actuator Body and Negative Stiffness Spine
This work introduces a bio‐mimetic soft robotic fish driven by fiber‐reinforced dielectric elastomer actuators integrated as its body. By prestretching this active skin against a flexible spine, a negative stiffness system is created, enabling large‐amplitude bending.
