Conformational Switching of Proteins on Material Surfaces Enabled by Peptide‐Oriented Adsorption

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Responsive biointerfaces could be achieved using conformationally responsive proteins; however, their interconversion can be lost upon surface adsorption. Herein, we demonstrate that the incorporation a Au binding peptide into calmodulin allows for binding control on Au wherein the protein retains conformational switching. This capability was confirmed

Counterfactual analysis using a regional dynamic general equilibrium model with historical calibration [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper develops a regional dynamic general equilibrium model calibrated using two regional SAMs for the Italian region Valle D’Aosta for the years 1963 and 2002.

Light‐Induced Field‐Tunneling Synapses in Solution‐Processed Van Der Waals Heterostructures for Scalable, Retina‐Inspired Optical Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A scalable, solution‐processed WSe2/ZrO2‐x van der Waals heterostructure realizes a light‐induced field‐tunneling synapse (LIFTS) that activates exclusively under bright illumination, emulating the photopic adaptation of the human retina at the device level.

Dynamic stochastic general equilibrium models with heterogeneous agents: theory, computation and application

open access: yes, 2018
Dynamic stochastic general equilibrium models with ex-post heterogeneity due to idiosyncratic risk pose numerous challenges stemming from the cross-sectional distribution of endogenous variables which changes stochastically over time due to aggregate risk. In this thesis, I tackle various open questions. My first contribution is of a theoretical nature

Quantifying Foreign Direct Investment Productivity Spillovers: A Computable General Equilibrium Framework for China [PDF]

open access: yes
We construct a static computable general equilibrium (CGE) model to quantify the endogenous productivity spillovers from foreign-invested firms to domestic firms, taking the Chinese economy as a case study. The coefficients of four spillover channels are

Memristive‐Gated RC‐Delay Synaptic Transistors for Time‐Encoded Analog in‐Memory Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A Memristive‐Gated Transistor for Time‐Encoded Analog In‐Memory Computing — By exploiting the RC delay of a self‐rectifying interface‐type memristor, nonlinear I–V distortion is structurally bypassed, enabling 3‐bit nonvolatile memory, spike‐timing‐based analog encoding, and hardware‐calibrated reservoir‐computing validation within a unified device ...

Disorder‐Broadened Topological Hall Phase and Anomalous Hall Scaling in FeGe

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
By systematically introducing defects into FeGe via ion‐beam modification, we demonstrate that disorder broadens the temperature regime over which the topological Hall effect ‐ a signature of skyrmions or other chiral textures — appears, while also increasing its magnitude.

Impacts of emission trading scheme on technological progress: A case study in China

open access: yesHeliyon
Despite its significant role in mitigating climate change, technology was usually exogenously treated in evaluating climate policy, particularly emission trading scheme (ETS); such treatment cannot comprehensively reveal how ETS affects technological ...
