A regional computable general equilibrium model for Guatemala: Modeling exogenous shocks and policy alternatives [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we develop a dynamic regional computable general equilibrium (CGE) model for Guatemala that incorporates regional disaggregated sectors for agriculture. The model is designed to be useful as a development tool for determining the effects of

Enhanced Ferroelectric Phase Formation via Local Structure Modification in the Pre‐Crystalline State of Hafnium Zirconium Oxide Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Hafnium zirconium oxide thin films are grown using plasma‐enhanced atomic layer deposition with the addition of an atomic layer annealing (ALA) step. ALA leads to a change in the short‐range structure of the deposit and encourages formation of the ferroelectric Pca21 phase. The result is wake‐up‐free performance with films exposed to ALA.

Examining the effectiveness of dissuasive taxes as a policy tool for reducing tobacco and alcohol consumption in Cameroon: A welfare and microsimulation analysis

open access: yesHeliyon
Deterrent taxes are a crucial policy tool for reducing the consumption of harmful products like tobacco and alcohol. However, assessing dissuasive taxes impact different income groups is important to ensure that their burden is not disproportionately ...

Dynamic Gains and Losses from Trade Reform: An Intertemporal General Equilibrium Model of the United States and MERCOSUR [PDF]

open access: yes
An intertemporal general equilibrium model of the United States and MERCOSUR is created to analyze the dynamic adjustments in both regions' commodity and capital markets after trade liberalization. Simulation results show that tariff reductions initiated

Low-Carbon Certification vs. Carbon Surcharges: A Recursive Dynamic GTAP Assessment of EU/UK Border Measures for China’s Seafood Exports

open access: yesFishes
This study compares two policy instruments for decarbonizing China’s seafood exports to the EU and UK over 10 years using a recursive dynamic computable general equilibrium model. One instrument applies tariff-like carbon surcharges on embedded emissions

Spatial computable general equilibrium modelling : static and dynamic approaches

open access: yes, 2005
This thesis concerns both static and dynamic modeling in a spatial computable general equilibrium setting. First, we have applied a static framework for the assessment of economic impacts of the Öresund bridge. Secondly, we make an attempt to enhance the static framework through the introduction of economic dynamics.
