Real-world asset tokens and commodities: static and dynamic linkages

open access: yesChina Accounting and Finance Review
This study explores the static and dynamic interconnectedness between real world asset (RWA) tokens and traditional commodities. Additionally, the study examines the role of uncertainty factors in explaining the interconnectedness.

Tail-risk connectedness between sukuk and conventional bond markets and their determinants: Evidence from a country-level analysis

open access: yesBorsa Istanbul Review
The study investigates the tail-risk spillover between the markets for sukuk and conventional bonds across fifteen countries between 2016 and 2023. First, we estimate a time varying parameter-value at risk (TVP-VAR)-based frequency connectedness model to

Asymmetric connectedness of stocks: How does bad and good volatility spill over the U.S. stock market? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Asymmetries in volatility spillovers are highly relevant to risk valuation and portfolio diversification strategies in financial markets. Yet, the large literature studying information transmission mechanisms ignores the fact that bad and good volatility

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

A literature review of connectedness to nature and its potential for environmental management [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Understanding how people's relationships with nature form, how they influence personal values and attitudes, and what behavioural implications they may have could provide more insight into how connectedness to nature (CNT) can effectively contribute to

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

On the Linear Convergence of the ADMM in Decentralized Consensus Optimization [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In decentralized consensus optimization, a connected network of agents collaboratively minimize the sum of their local objective functions over a common decision variable, where their information exchange is restricted between the neighbors. To this end,

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.
