Dynamic equivalences in the hard-sphere dynamic universality class
Physical Review E, 2013We perform systematic simulation experiments on model systems with soft-sphere repulsive interactions to test the predicted dynamic equivalence between soft-sphere liquids with similar static structure. For this we compare the simulated dynamics (mean squared displacement, intermediate scattering function, α-relaxation time, etc.) of different soft ...

About a decade ago I was presenting a paper criticizing the dominance of "dynamic equivalence" among Bible translators. My particular target was Eugene Nida, who I assumed would be on death's doorstep, if not already past it (he was born in 1914). However, at the end of my paper, I got the fright of my life: Nida himself stood up to ask me a question ...

Equivalent modeling and simulation for PV system on dynamic clustering equivalent strategy
IECON 2017 - 43rd Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2017As the large-scale integration of photovoltaic (PV) power station, a higher requirement is put forward by power grid analysis on the accuracy of PV station model. For the model of photovoltaic system is complex, and it requires solving large-scale model equation, which is not conductive for simulation and big data analysis when a large-scale PV power ...

EQUIVALENCE OF MODULAR K AND ANOSOV DYNAMICAL SYSTEMS
Reviews in Mathematical Physics, 2000We show that for modular dynamical systems the Anosov property and the existence of a refining subalgebra are equivalent. With some additional assumption they are also equivalent to the existence of an algebraic K-subsystem.

On the Strategic Equivalence of Linear Dynamic and Repeated Games [PDF]
Dynamic (or stochastic) games are, in general, considerably more complicated to analyze than repeated games. This paper shows that for every deterministic dynamic game that is linear in the state, there exists a strategically equivalent representation as a repeated game.

A Note on Certainty Equivalence in Dynamic Planning
Econometrica, 1957According to the static theory of decision-making under uncertainty, the policy maker will take that action that maximizes expected utility. In the dynamic theory several consecutive periods play a role, each of which is characterized by a certain action.

Equivalent problems in rigid body dynamics?II
Celestial Mechanics, 1987In the present paper the problem of motion of a rigid body about a fixed point under the action of a stationary non-symmetric potential and gyroscopic forces is considered. The equations of motion in the vector Euler-Poisson form are derived. The relative motion of a satellite- gyrostat in its orbital system is a representative example.
