Equivalent Theories of Liquid Crystal Dynamics [PDF]
There are two competing descriptions of nematic liquid crystal dynamics: the Ericksen-Leslie director theory and the Eringen micropolar approach. Up to this day, these two descriptions have remained distinct in spite of several attempts to show that the micropolar theory comprises the director theory.

Equivalence Relations on Finite Dynamical Systems
The paper is concerned with the study of Boolean functions \(f:k^n \to k^n\) where \(k^n=k\times k\times \cdots\times k\) and \(k=\{0,1\}\). Together with their iterates such functions are viewed as finite dynamical systems on the set of binary strings.

Cycle equivalence of graph dynamical systems [PDF]
Graph dynamical systems (GDSs) can be used to describe a wide range of distributed, nonlinear phenomena. In this paper we characterize cycle equivalence of a class of finite GDSs called sequential dynamical systems SDSs. In general, two finite GDSs are cycle equivalent if their periodic orbits are isomorphic as directed graphs.
