Game dynamics as the meaning of a game

ACM SIGecom Exchanges, 2019
Learning dynamics have traditionally taken a secondary role to Nash equilibria in game theory. We propose a new approach that places the understanding of game dynamics over mixed strategy profiles as the central object of inquiry. We focus on the stable recurrent points of the dynamics, i.e.

Dynamic Search Games

Operations Research, 1991
In these games the searcher has a sequence of looks in which to detect the target, while the target chooses a new cell after each look in the knowledge of what cells have been searched so far. Since time is of the essence and the searcher's speed is bounded, the target has a tendency to choose cells far away from the most recent look.

THE DYNAMICS OF GAMES OF INNOVATION [PDF]

open access: possibleInternational Journal of Innovation Management, 2007
Many executives see innovation as an unmanageable process, riddled with risks. The research we conducted with the Industrial Research Institute, interviewing over 200 vice-presidents of research and development and chief technical officers in many sectors around the world, yields a more nuanced view.

DYNAMIC COOPERATIVE GAMES

International Game Theory Review, 2000
We consider dynamic cooperative games in characteristic function form in the sense that the characteristic function evolves over time in accordance with a difference or differential equation that is influenced not only by the current ("instantaneous") characteristic function but also by the solution concept used to allocate the benefits of cooperation

A dynamic exchange game

Proceedings of the twenty-seventh ACM symposium on Principles of distributed computing, 2008
Our work aims to study a game based on an extended variant of the stable fixtures problem where multiple matches can be established between pairs of players, moreover preference orders are subject to alteration due to player strategies.
