Aging dynamics of colloidal hard sphere glasses [PDF]
We report the results of dynamic light scattering measurements of the coherent intermediate scattering function (ISF) of glasses of colloidal hard spheres for several volume fractions and a range of scattering vectors around the primary peak of the static structure factor.

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

INVESTIGATION OF THE RATIO BETWEEN THE DYNAMIC AND STATIC HARDNESS OF METALS
Problems of measurement of hardness by the dynamic indentation method are discussed. It is shown that an excess of dynamic hardness over static one can be described by the coefficient, which is a function of material properties and test conditions. In ...

Wave structures in the ice field and influence of them on the strength of salt ice
The heterogeneity of the strength of the ice field of the dynamic type of formation with an area of 800 m2 was investigated in time and space. It is shown that stationary periodic wave structures are formed in a closed volume of an ice field lying on the

Why human connection is the true metric of research success
Human‐centred mentorship can be shaped by mentor attributes, actions, intrinsic drive and career ambition. Drawing on reflections across Singapore and France, as well as workshop insights from FEBS‐IUBMB ENABLE 2024, this article shows that human‐centred mentorship creates the conditions for sustainable growth, well‐being and retention in research ...
