Compound Control of Trajectory Errors in a Non-Resonant Piezo-Actuated Elliptical Vibration Cutting Device

open access: yesMicromachines, 2023
To improve the machining quality of the non-resonant elliptical vibration cutting (EVC) device, a compound control method for trajectory error compensation is proposed in this paper.

Dynamical Hysteresis without Static Hysteresis: Scaling Laws and Asymptotic Expansions [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics, 1997
Summary: We study dynamical hysteresis in a simple class of nonlinear ordinary differential equations, namely first-order equations subject to sinusoidal forcing. The assumed nonlinearities are such that the area of the hysteresis loop vanishes as the forcing frequency tends to zero; in other words, there is no static hysteresis.

Predicting loss in magnetic steels under arbitrary induction waveform and with minor hysteresis loops [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
We have studied ways of predicting power losses in soft magnetic laminations for generic time dependence of the periodic magnetic polarization J(t). We found that, whatever the frequency and the induction waveform, the loss behavior can be quantitatively

Scaling dynamic response and destructive metabolism in an immunosurveillant anti-tumor system modulated by different external periodic interventions. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2011
On the basis of two universal power-law scaling laws, i.e. the scaling dynamic hysteresis in physics and the allometric scaling metabolism in biosystem, we studied the dynamic response and the evolution of an immunosurveillant anti-tumor system subjected

A Modified Comprehensive Model for Piezoelectric Stack Actuators and Corresponding Parameter Identification Method

open access: yesAdvances in Materials Science and Engineering, 2015
In order to accurately model the hysteresis and dynamic characteristics of piezoelectric stack actuators (PSAs), consider that a linear force and a hysteresis force will be generated by piezoelectric wafers under the voltage applied to a PSA, and the ...

Research on the Dynamic Hysteresis Loop Model of the Residence Times Difference (RTD)-Fluxgate

open access: yesSensors, 2013
Based on the core hysteresis features, the RTD-fluxgate core, while working, is repeatedly saturated with excitation field. When the fluxgate simulates, the accurate characteristic model of the core may provide a precise simulation result.

Comparator with dynamic hysteresis

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1999
A comparator is presented which is based on the use of a time domain phenomenon called 'dynamic hysteresis'. This comparator features only one threshold and a short-time controllable noise immunity.

Effect of magnetostatic interactions on the hysteresis parameters of single-domain and psuedo-single domain grains [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
From experiments it is known that magnetostatic interactions between grains strongly affect the magnetic behavior of samples. However, because of the difficulty in predicting the nonlinear behavior, the effect of interactions has been largely ignored ...

Stochastic dynamics in quenched-in disorder and hysteresis [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Physics, 1999
The conditions under which relaxation dynamics in the presence of quenched-in disorder lead to rate-independent hysteresis are discussed. The calculation of average hysteresis branches is reduced to the solution of the level-crossing problem for the stochastic field describing quenched-in disorder.
