DYNAMICS OF AN ENERGY HARVESTER WITH HYSTERESIS FRICTION

open access: yesVestnik of Samara University. Natural Science Series, 2023
A model of an energy harvester converter with hysteresis viscous friction is considered. The mechanical part of the energy harvester is made in the form of an inverted pendulum. The hysteresis is formalized within the framework of the Preisach model, which is a continuum analogue of a system of non-ideal relays connected in parallel.

Simulation of Magnetic Component Models in Electric Circuits including Dynamic Thermal Effects

open access: yes, 2002
It is essential in the simulation of power electronics applications to model magnetic components accurately. In addition to modeling the nonlinear hysteresis behaviour, eddy currents and winding losses must be included to provide a realistic model.

Optimizing the Jiles-Atherton Model of Hysteresis by a genetic algorithm

open access: yes, 2001
Modeling magnetic components for simulation in electric circuits requires an accurate model of the hysteresis loop of the core material used. It is important that the parameters extracted for the hysteresis model be optimized across the range of ...

Properties of dynamic magnetic loss of ferrite

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2018
The B-H loop of ferrite becomes narrower with a decrease in the excitation frequency. However, even at frequencies lower than 1 kHz, the B-H loop exhibits a certain minimum width, which is referred to as the (DC) hysteresis loop, and its area corresponds

High-bandwidth modeling for rate-dependent hysteresis nonlinearity using a standard Prandtl–Ishlinskii model

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2021
Rate-dependent hysteresis of piezoelectric stack actuators (PSAs) is known to cause oscillations and instabilities. This paper introduces a novel electro-mechanical coupling model that can accurately characterize the high-bandwidth rate-dependent ...

Microstructural Evolution and Vacancy Defect Formation in Mn–Mo–Ni RPV Steel Under Low Cycle Fatigue: Insights From EBSD and PALS

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing
