Unscented Recursive Filtering for Inequality Constrained Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
For nonlinear systems with state inequality constraints, the existing unscented recursive filtering methods utilize the constraint information in the sampling and update steps, rather than the prediction step.

A Robust Adaptive One‐Sample‐Ahead Preview Super‐Twisting Sliding Mode Controller

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
Block Diagram of the Robust Adaptive One‐Sample‐Ahead Preview Super‐Twisting Sliding Mode Controller. ABSTRACT This article introduces a discrete‐time robust adaptive one‐sample‐ahead preview super‐twisting sliding mode controller. A stability analysis of the controller by Lyapunov criteria is developed to demonstrate its robustness in handling both ...

Inequality of Provincial Budget Allocation and its Impact on Inequality of Regional Income in Iran [PDF]

open access: yesFaslnāmah-i Pizhūhish/Nāmah-i Iqtisādī, 2019
Regional inequality has economic, social and cultural dimensions. One of the main concerns of planners and policymakers in economic development programs is reduction of poverty and inequality based on provincial income per capita.

Imaging of Biphoton States: Fundamentals and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Quantum states of two photons exhibit a rich polarization and spatial structure, which provides a fundamental resource of strongly correlated and entangled states. This review analyzes the physics of these intriguing properties and explores the various techniques and technologies available to measure them, including the state of the art of their ...

On Some New Dynamic Hilbert-Type Inequalities across Time Scales

open access: yesAxioms
In this article, we present some novel dynamic Hilbert-type inequalities within the framework of time scales T. We achieve this by utilizing Hölder’s inequality, the chain rule, and the mean inequality. As specific instances of our findings (when T=N and

Some Steffensen-type dynamic inequalities on time scales

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2019
We consider some new Steffensen-type dynamic inequalities on an arbitrary time scale by utilizing the diamond-α dynamic integrals, which are characterized as a combination of the delta and nabla integrals.

The Allen-Cahn equation with dynamic boundary conditions and mass constraints

open access: yes, 2014
The Allen-Cahn equation, coupled with dynamic boundary conditions, has recently received a good deal of attention. The new issue of this paper is the setting of a rather general mass constraint which may involve either the solution inside the domain or ...

Nanothermometry in Living Cells: Physical Limits, Conceptual and Material Challenges

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Heat and temperature are fundamental to life. When nanothermometers began probing regions as small as a living cell, they triggered controversial claims of large intracellular temperature gradients. We review physical constraints energy‐conservation, entropy production, thermodynamic fluctuations, and molecular dynamics.

Some reverse inequalities of Hardy type on time scales

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2020
In this article, we obtain some new dynamic inequalities of Hardy type on time scales. The main results are derived using Fubini’s theorem and the chain rule on time scales.

Versatile Magneto‐Dielectric Response of Epitaxial Thin Films of the High Entropy Oxide Perovskite Nd(Cr0.2Mn0.2Fe0.2Co0.2Ni0.2)O3

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The magnetic high entropy oxide perovskite Nd(Cr0.2Mn0.2Fe0.2Co0.2Ni0.2)O3 exhibits a substantially large dielectric constant (εr) at room temperature, which shows distinct anionic and cationic contributions in the form of zero and finite bias peaks, respectively, down to its magnetic transition temperature (Tmag).
