The dynamic mechanical properties of cellularised aggregates [PDF]
Cellularised materials are composed of cells interfaced through specialised intercellular junctions that link the cytoskeleton of one cell to that of its neighbours allowing for transmission of forces. Cellularised materials are common in early development and adult tissues where they can be found in the form of cell sheets, cysts, or amorphous ...

Mechanical properties and fracture dynamics of silicene membranes [PDF]
A thorough study on the mechanical properties of silicene membranes. Young's modulus, Poisson's ratios, critical strain values, edge effects, dynamics of edge reconstructions, temperature dependence and stress distributions were investigated.

Dynamic Mechanical Properties of Maxillofacial Materials [PDF]
Six maxillofacial materials were evaluated by determining their dynamic properties with use of a Goodyear Vibrotester. The dynamic modulus, internal friction, and dynamic resilience were measured for all materials over a temperature range of -15 to 37 C. The dynamic modulus ranged from 11.1 to 124.8 kg/cm 2

Dynamic mechanical properties of human brain tissue [PDF]
Investigators have been studying the mechanical phenomena associated with impact to the head for many years. Several theories on the behavior of the brain during head impact have come from these studies but there has been a notable lack of information on the bulk mechanical properties of the brain which are necessary for the evaluation of these ...

Dynamical properties and mechanisms of metastability: A perspective in neuroscience
Metastability, characterized by a variability of regimes in time, is a ubiquitous type of neural dynamics. It has been formulated in many different ways in the neuroscience literature, however, which may cause some confusion. In this Perspective, we discuss metastability from the point of view of dynamical systems theory. We extract from the literature

Dynamic Mechanical Property of a Steel
Advanced Materials Research, 2011In order to realize the dynamic mechanical property of a steel, the quasic-static and dynamic compressive and tensile mechanical tests of a steel are carried out. Based on the stress-strain curves of the steel, the constitutive relation is presented and it can be used to describe compressive and tensile mechanical property correspondently.

Dynamic mechanical properties of elastin
Biopolymers, 1979AbstractThe dynamic mechanical properties of water‐swollen elastin under physiological conditions have been investigated. When elastin is tested as a colsed, fixed‐volume system, mechanical data could be temperature shifted to produce master curves.

Dynamic mechanical properties of amalgams
Journal of Biomedical Materials Research, 1981AbstractA recently developed dynamic mechanical analysis technique was utilized to determine the setting rates of dental amalgams. Via a compound parallel beam apparatus the dynamic mechanical properties of five amalgam materials were continuously measured at 37°C within ca. 7 min after the start of trituration.
