Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.

Artificial Intelligence and Mental Well‐Being in Adult Education: Implications for Practice and Professional Responsibility

open access: yesNew Directions for Adult and Continuing Education, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Mental well‐being is central to adult learner success, yet many adult education institutions lack capacity to provide timely and accessible support. This article examines how artificial intelligence (AI) can strengthen mental health–adjacent supports in adult and continuing higher education, with attention to professional practice and ...

Mode dynamics in optical cavities

Physical Review A, 1995
We consider the dynamical behavior of light in a cavity that contains birefringent elements with time-dependent settings. The evolution of the two-dimensional polarization vector can be described by an equation of the Schr\"odinger type if the intracavity elements change little on the time scale of the round-trip time. A coupled-mode analysis is given,

Modes of the homogeneous chain dynamics

Signal Processing, 2006
This paper presents a study of modes of homogeneous mechanical chain dynamics for different kinds of homogenous connection between material mass particles in the chain, and by different chain boundary conditions. The application of these results for describing of mechanical properties of real materials is very useful.

Dynamic independence of pulsed antiphased modes

Optics Letters, 1994
We analyze theoretically a case of antiphase dynamics in the self-pulsing regime involving two orthogonal polarizations in intracavity second-harmonic generation. We show that, for this model, antiphase dynamics may lead to a nonreciprocal independence of the two polarizations as a result of partial overlap between the pulses.

Dynamic soliton modes

Technical Digest. Summaries of papers presented at the Quantum Electronics and Laser Science Conference. Postconference Technical Digest (IEEE Cat. No.01CH37172), 2002
Summary form only given. In the past few years, spatially incoherent solitons have attracted much research interest. One necessary condition to observe the spatially incoherent solitons is that the nonlinearity must be "non-instantaneous", namely, the nonlinear response of medium is slow enough that it cannot respond to the relatively rapid local ...
