The calculation of dynamic ecological footprint on the basis of the dynamic input-output model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The Leontief input-output model is widely used to determine the ecological footprint of consumption in a region or a country. It is able to capture spillover environmental effects along the supply change, thus its popularity is increasing in ecology ...

A State-Space Model for Dynamic Simulation of a Single-Effect LiBr/H2O Absorption Chiller

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
A simplified transient dynamic model for a single-effect absorption refrigeration chiller using LiBr/H2O as the working pair is developed in this paper. The model contains a series of sub-models presenting the components composing the chiller.

Optimal control strategy of COVID-19 spread in Morocco using SEIRD model

open access: yesMoroccan Journal of Pure and Applied Analysis, 2021
This paper aims to predict the development of the COVID-19 pandemic in Morocco from a mathematical approach. Based on the reliability of the data and the nature of confirmed cases, the SEIRD model is employed to provide a theoretical framework to ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Development of a Dynamic Model for a Constant Tension Winch [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Developing an effective controller for a towing winch is very important to maintain constant towing rope tension between a submarine cable burying machine and a cable ship.

The Text and Discourse in the Light of Communicative Meaning Formation

open access: yesСлово.ру: балтийский акцент, 2017
This article analyses differences between the static and dynamic interpretations of the text and discourse. The concept of a communicative action (a semiotic act) is considered as the main distinguishing factor that is crucial for the communicative model

Dynamics of Immunological Models

open access: yesActa Biotheoretica, 2010
We analyse the effect of the regulatory T cells (Tregs) in the local control of the immune responses by T cells. We obtain an explicit formula for the level of antigenic stimulation of T cells as a function of the concentration of T cells and the parameters of the model.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Enhancing Energy Efficiency of a 4-DOF Parallel Robot Through Task-Related Analysis

open access: yesMachines, 2020
Enhancing energy efficiency is one of the main challenges of today’s industrial robotics and manufacturing technology. In this paper a task-related analysis of the energetic performance of a 4-DOF industrial parallel robot is presented, and the ...
