Dynamic reconfiguration inwireless Sensor Networks

2010 17th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems, 2010
Dynamic reconfiguration for WSN is a field that attracts a lot of attention nowadays. There is interest in transmitting not only data, but also functionalities from one node to another. It is well established that this topic is a huge energy consumer during the RF communication between nodes.

Dynamic reconfiguration for optical network

Proceedings. 14th International Conference on Computer Communications and Networks, 2005. ICCCN 2005., 2006
Our work looks into the reconfiguration of virtual topology for wavelength-routed mesh optical network under dynamic traffic demand. When reconfiguring the optical network, it is important to minimize the number of receivers that need to be retuned. It is also important to minimize the average weighted hop count as it is directly proportional to the ...

Dynamic Camera Network Reconfiguration for Crowd Surveillance

Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Distributed Smart Cameras, 2018
Crowd surveillance will play a fundamental role in the coming generation of video surveillance systems, in particular for improving public safety and security. However, traditional camera networks are mostly not able to closely survey the entire monitoring area due to limitations in coverage, resolution and analytics performance. A smart camera network,

Dynamic reconfiguration of real-time network interfaces

International Conference on Parallel Computing in Electrical Engineering, 2004., 2004
The programmable resources of reconfigurable computing architectures are commonly used to support application specific processing. Dynamic reconfiguration enables hardware adaptation even during run-time. This paper concentrates on extending the application of dynamically reconfigurable logic to the area of network interface logic.

Dynamic architectural reconfigurations of sensor networks

IECON 2010 - 36th Annual Conference on IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2010
We consider sensor networks with a specific signal processing objective. The networks are organized in architectures comprised of sensor clusters whose cluster heads are connected via a backbone network. The data collected by the sensors are finally fused at a fusion center to satisfy the designated signal processing objective.

Towards Dynamic Network Reconfigurations for Flexible Optical Network Planning

Optical Fiber Communication Conference (OFC) 2021, 2021
We propose a network reconfiguration heuristic, incorporating provisioning, upgrading, and rerouting of lightpaths for multi-period planning. Using the same physical network infrastructure, we achieve up to 33% increase in network throughput compared to the state-of-the-art.
