A model of continuous dynamic recrystallization
Acta Materialia, 2003During continuous dynamic recrystallization (CDRX), which occurs in high stacking fault energy metals, new grains are formed by the progressive increase of low-angle boundary misorientations. A simple CDRX model is proposed, that deals with a set of “crystallites” delimited partly by low-angle (LABs) and partly by high-angle (HABs) boundaries.

Dynamic Recrystallization in Zirconium Alloys
Journal of ASTM International, 2010In this investigation, the characteristics of dynamic recrystallization (DRX) in five Zr-alloys, namely, commercial pure zirconium (CP-Zr), Zircaloy-2 (Zr–Sn), Zr-2.5Nb (Zr–Nb), Zr-2.5Nb-0.5Cu (Zr–Nb-Cu), and Zr-1Nb-1Sn-0.1Fe (Zr–Nb–Sn–Fe), have been examined.

A Different View on Dynamic Recrystallization
Materials Science Forum, 2012A new approach to dynamic recrystallization (DRX) is introduced. It is based on the assumption that the critical conditions for DRX and the arrest of DRX grain boundaries are related to the development of mobile subboundaries. The theoretical predictions are compared to experimental results during incipient and steady-state DRX.

Microstructure mechanism map of dynamically recrystallized marble
Tectonophysics, 2006Abstract The relative nucleus density (RND) model of dynamically recrystallized grain size [Sakai, T., Jonas, J.J. 1984. Dynamic recrystallization: mechanical and microctructutal consideration. Acta metallurgica, 32, 198–209] was applied to experimentally and to naturally deformed marbles that have undergone dynamic recrystallization. The model shows

Dynamic recrystallization and grain size
1990The idea that information about the stress history of a geological sample can be extracted from measurements made of the microstructure in the laboratory is attractive. While not attempting to be a review of palaeopiezometers, this chapter will present evidence for a ‘universal relation’ between deformation stress and the steady-state recrystallized ...
